Renuka Singh Thakur (Player of the Match): "Well the fans motivate me a lot. She (Harmanpreet Kaur) was asking me whether I want to bowl more overs or not, I was picking up wickets so the confidence was there to bowl another over.
Yesterday we did some spot bowling because we have played so many T20 cricket recently and now we are going to play a lot of ODI games. I spoke to Jhulan Di (Jhulan Goswami) a lot and she told me to bowl some spot bowling and it helped me a lot. I always try to take advise from her as she has picked up many wickets in this format.
Well I wanted to keep things simple. I know I have worked hard in the nets and I am really happy with my performance tonight."

Harmanpreet Kaur (India Women Captain): "I should give credit to our physio team. I have been struggling with my knee since quite a few time. Thanks to Rajni sir our physio. Credit to our fielding coach who has helped me during that time. Quite happy the way things are going around.
The way Smriti is batting is looking very easy but trust me its not. Renuka's bowling has been amazing since years but today's 5-wicket haul has been special. Good to see during the last series and today the way we are fielding. Happy with the approach.
Whenever we play in India, we enjoy. The facilities are brilliant and we enjoy playing at home. The pitches and grounds are beautiful."

Hayley Matthews (West Indies Women Captain): "Yeah, we probably were not quite on the mark today. Obviously all three phases of the game did not go in our favor. This is not the brand of cricket we want to play.
I think we had to get back to the training ground, get better and improve. We will have bad days like this and we have to try and bounce back from these situations.
I think 270-280 was something we were looking at. We did not finish well with the ball and like you said, if we field better then it will save a few runs as well."

Renuka Singh Thakur: "Definitely really happy to be honest. It's my first fifer in ODIs and everyone was backing me a lot to pick up 5 wickets in this match.
(On bowling 8 overs in a row) I have worked really hard in terms of my fitness. I have bowled 8 overs on the trot and I managed to do that which means that I am fit.
My favourite wicket was the one of Deandra Dottin because It was a really good ball.
Well, I kept everything simple. Yesterday we trained and it was pretty cold out here so I tried to bowl in the right areas and it worked out well for me."
