Smriti Mandhana calls Harmanpreet Kaur and both receive the trophy. Kaur hands it to Raghvi Bist who lifts it. The Indian players pose for the photographs. A well-deserved victory for the Women in Blue.
Smriti Mandhana (Player of the Series, India Women Captain): "I told the girls after last match that we haven't won a series since 5 years in India that doesn't reflect the brand of cricket we have played. Really happy to win the series. We have to keep doing the right things and keep winning from here.
With the kind of batting lineup we have with 3 youngsters coming in, I have an added responsibility. More than timing the ball, the kind of responsibility I have, I put my head into it and do better. I have tried to get the side a good start this series. We lost all the tosses and put our head up.
Harman being in the middle order has been a pillar. Whenever she's there you know she's gonna be there. Having that in the mind, the girls stepped up beautifully. The way Raghvi batted was brilliant. Hitting your 4th or 5th ball for a six in your second match, even I couldn't do that. Richa was unappreciated in the last game as we couldn't win but she was brilliant today. I don't know what she ate."
Player of the Series: Smriti Mandhana
Richa Ghosh (Player of the Match): "We got a good start. The way Smriti and Raghvi played, I tried to continue it forward and I hit after I got balls in my slot.
I play in the same way in the nets. I try to clear the ropes. The balls that come in my slot, I try to clear the ropes, whether it is the first ball of the match or the last.
It's a good feeling when you get the chance. Everyone did well and I'm happy that I could contribute."
Player of the Match: Richa Ghosh
Hayley Matthews (West Indies Captain): "We probably didn't bowl as well as we wanted to. It was one of those wickets where you have very small margins for error. The way Smriti and Richa batted was fantastic. We weren't too good with our lengths today.
They obviously got going and we failed to pull it back after that. With the ball being tighter and being more disciplined as well. We have good spells with our bowling. We have got pretty big totals on the board this series. There is so much positives to take, the way Chinelle Henry batted today as well."
