Hayley Matthews (POTM & West Indies Women Captain): "Well we think that we probably did not do our best in the previous game. The girls turned up today and the result is in front of us.

I think the way we looked at the score in the halfway stage of the game. Obviously, Smriti batted really well but kudos to the players like Deandra and the other who stepped up and bowled really well in the backend of the first innings.

Well we were really happy with 160 and we knew if we bat really well and build up a partnership we have a chance. We felt that they scored 10 runs more but we had the belief to chase it down. Really happy for the team."

Smriti Mandhana (India Women Captain): "I think T20 cricket is like that, you can have one good day and then a day like today. The conditions changed after the first 7-8 overs in the first innings but we needed to adapt better, and we will come back better next game.

For the first 7-8 overs there was quite a bit of moisture in the pitch, we had to be little bit more sensible and we could have scored 10-15 more runs as a batting unit. We will take this defeat and learn from it.

The dew was not present much in the first 10 overs of their bowling, but yes as a team we know dew is going to be there, and we need to be better prepared for it. We will go out and practice under wet conditions and hopefully come back stronger in the next game."
