Tom Banton was the star of the run chase with an unbeaten half-century that helped the Bulls to get over the line with 17 balls to spare. This result means UP Nawab's journey in this year's Abu Dhabi T10 League is over.
Earlier in the game, Delhi Bulls won the toss and opted to bowl. Rovman Powell used five pacers to operate throughout the innings and they delivered the goods for the Bulls. Muhammad Rohid Khan bagged two wickets for 27 while Fazalhaq Farooqi, Shahid Bhutta and Salman Irshad all got a wicket apiece.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz top-scored with a knock of 27 while Curtis Campher was the other notable contributor with the bat, scoring 18 off 11. UP Nawabs finished at 98/7 from their 10 overs.
In reply, Delhi Bulls lost James Vince early in the piece. However, a partnership of 67 runs between Shadab Khan and Tom Banton put on the brink and then skipper Rovman Powell came in to provide the finishing touches to the chase.
