After losing the toss and put into bat first, Finn Allen and Colin Munro opened the innings for Northern Warriors. The duo added 34 runs for the first wicket before Allen was dismissed for 30 from 15 balls. Munro made 10 from 15 balls. Johnson Charles scored 20 from 11 balls. Sherfane Rutherford remained the top scorer for hsi side with an unbeaten 46* from 17 balls. They added 111/3 in 10 overs. For New York Strikers, Sunil Narine was the pick of the bowlers who took 2/16 in 2 overs. The other wicket in the innings came as a run out by Khuzaima Bin Tanvir. With 112 to chase down on the board, Dewald Brevis and Kusal Perera opened the innings for New York Strikers. The duo added 66 runs for the first wicket before Brevis was dismissed for 9 from 10 balls. Kusal Perera remained the best batter for his side. He remained unbeaten on 74* from 27 balls.
