We looked to execute our plans. We knew they would be coming hard but the bowlers did well. They made it easy for us. I think we have come back strongly and I'm really happy with everyone's performance. We will need to keep up with the momentum. "

After losing the toss and put into bat first, Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Rilee Rossouw opened the innings for Deccan Gladiators. While Tom made 22 from 13 balls, Rossouw added 10 from 5 balls. Jos Buttler remained the top scorer for his side with 30 from 16 balls. David Wiese made 29 from 13 balls which included a hat-trick of sixes. They managed to put 112/9 on the board at the end of 10th over.
For UP Nawabs, Adil Rashid was the pick of the bowlers who took 3/6 in 2 overs. Binura Fernando also took 3/18 in 2 overs. Tymal Mills took 2/23 and Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy took 1/19.
