Milestone
That's all from our end for the 4th match of the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 League. For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off alongside Soumarya Dutta and our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav.
Colin Munro (Northern Warriors Captain) - We made a mistake at the toss with the sheets but the boys did really well. We have a tightly knit squad and it has been excellent playing here. I'm a bit old now so it's getting a bit too fast paced at times for myself, but still thinking on my feet and getting the job done. I do have the captain written against my name but it's a team effort.

4:44 PM IST and 3:14 PM Local Time | Johnson Charles' brilliance has powered the Northern Warriors to a terrific victory to start the tournament.

Coming out to bat first, Delhi Bulls were off to a solid start as Tom Banton and Adam Lyth batted well for them. Banton scored 23 and Lyth scored 25 off 10 balls with 2 fours and as many as maximums. James Vince took the innings forward with his 27 run innings off 16 balls with the help of 3 fours and a maximum. Later a short cameo from Tim David helped his side to post 109 on the board.

For the Northern Warriors, Fareed Ahmad and Azmatullah Omarzai took 2 wickets each while Uzair Khan and Trent Boult chipped in with 1 wicket.

In the run chase, Northern Warriors lost Finn Allen early for just 9 off 8 balls. Brandon King got out for a silver duck and Colin Munro hit 2 fours and a maximum to score 18. Northern Warriors were reeling at 31 for 3 at a stage and then Rutherford-Charles pair took over. They added 22 runs in the 7th over. The chase became a cakewalk for them afterwards and they clinched the victory with a over to go. Charles remained unbeaten on 54 off 23 balls with 2 fours and 6 maximums.

Naveen ul Haq, Rohid Khan and Shahid Bhutta took a wicket each for the Delhi Bulls.
