So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj and my co-commentator, Aditya Agarwal and our scorer for this match, Ashok Dayma. Stay tuned to our coverage with more cricket coming up including the 1st ODI between SA-W and ENG-W later today!
Carlos Brathwaite (Lahore Qalandars captain): "After my first over, knew that I wasn't going to bowl again (Laughs). Taking Shamsi after three overs, bringing back Asif and trusting him, some of the tactical things. So, we had a 10-15 minute conversation about that. Myself and Shamsi had a meeting about how to get him, he is a fantastic player. Without any disrespect about others, we felt that he is the key wicket.
A lot of planning went into it and felt delighted for it to work. Once we broke the partnership, it was all about closing in. We are entertainers, everyone wants to see balls flying in but sometimes these 140 games are fun as well.
It is something we have to chat about. Can probably show more intent. Really enjoyed the two Victorian openers taking it on. Have been more proactive. Sent Asif Afridi up the order, today it was Wellsy (Luke Wells). Hasn't worked so far but we will try to tinker and work around things."
Corey Anderson ( Victoria Captain) : " We were cruising at one point. I think that 5-6 overs of bad cricket cost us. A combination of bad shots and some good bowling was the reason for the collapse.
I think he bowled really well. He bowled consistently and wicket to wicket. (talking about Tabraiz Shamsi).
I think it is totally their call, if you have gotta to take it you should take it. ( on whether Jon Wells should have taken the review or not).
I think our bowlers did an excellent job and we will take this total any day of the week. We will look to bounce back for the next game."
Tabraiz Shamsi (Player of the Match) : "Must give credit to the entire team. Only thing in our minds was that we should defend the score no matter what. I was given the ball by the skipper and luckily I got the wickets. Our destiny is in our own hands. It is a catch-22, it is one of those chats to hold one over back for Dominic Drakes. After that it is the bowlers. Asif Afridi has been brilliant throughout. Got a couple of good mates in the Guyana side, hopefully Rangpur can do a favour. Was a must-win game, almost a quarter-final. As a player, these are the kind of games that you want to be involved with."
