The plan was to hit the hard length and there was some movement if the good length was hit. We just tried to stick to that line. Akbar Ali(Bangladesh A captain): "Thak you so much to the fans. We will look to continue the momentum. I am impressed with the way the bowlers hav bowled till the 15th over. But there's a lot to improve. Our batters have done well but I think they were 15-20 runs short. I think Ripon was brilliant. There was some help for the seamers and he utilized it."
Nizakat Khan(Hong Kong Captain): As I said earlier, 160+ is what we were looking for but fell just short despite a great effort from Babar (Hayat). But, I must appreciate the effort of our batsmen. First 10 overs with the ball was excellent but we lost it in the next few overs. We'll learn from our mistakes. We'll look to bounce back strong in the next match.

Earlier , Bangladesh A won the toss and put the Hong Kong side to bat first. Hong Kong lost both their openers inside the powerplay as they ended it with a score of 35-2. Babar Hayat and Nizakat Khan then joined hands the duo put up a splendid 65 run stand for the third wicket to stabilize the innings. Nizakat Khan departed on 25 and none of the batters supported Babar Hayat who was hitting the ball very well. Babar Hayat played a lone hand in the end and scored 85 runs off 61 ball and helped his team to get to a respectable score of 150/8. Ripon Mondol was the stand out bowler for his team as he bagged 4 prized wickets in his spell of 4 overs. Chasing 151, Bangladesh A got off to a steady start by their openers who put up 32 run for the first wicket. Hong Kong then got back into the game with 2 back to back wickets. Parvez Emon played some nice shots in his innings of 28 runs but he fell shortly after the powerplay leaving Bangladesh A to 55-3. Towhid Hridoy( 29 off 22) and Akbar Ali (45 off 24) then put up a quickfire match winning 54 run partnership for the fourth wicket and ensured that their side got over the line with 5 wickets remaining and 10 balls to spare. Ehsan Khan was the pick of the bowlers for his team as his figures read 12 runs and 3 wickets in his quota of 4 overs. Stay tuned for the presentation coming up shortly!
