Thatās all from this one-sided contest, folks! Canterbury Kings keep their hopes alive in the tournament with this win. For now, itās me Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of co-commentator Soumarya Dutta and scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. CHEERS!
Cole McConchie (Canterbury Kings Captain) - "I tried to take pace off the ball and it was good to contribute to the team's cause. The way, Boyle and Mitchell put on that partnership, it made the difference. We knew that it was always going to be tough for them to chase the total down. Will O'Rourke bowled with some fire early on and he was tough to get away for their batters. Won't be watching the other games much. Whatever happens will happen. "
Jeet Raval (Northern Brave Captain): "I felt we were completely outplayed by Canterbury in all facets of the game. The partnership they built with the bat and the firepower they brought with the ball were just too good for us today.
Yeah, obviously, thereās a bit of bounce in this wicket, as we know. Their bowlers, being tall, were able to extract that bounce, which made it really hard for our batters to get going.
Yeah, especially the way we bounced back with the ball after the start they got, which was quite pleasing. As for our batting, most of the boys got some time out in the middle, so Iām sure we can take confidence from that heading into the next important game."
Matthew Boyle (Canterbury Kings) - " It feels good and it's nice to make a contribution. It was great to bat alongside Mitchell. We have kept our hopes alive and we will wait now for the other games to go in our favor. It's a good feeling overall to end up as the highest run scorer in the innings. "
Game Changer of the Match: Matthew Boyle

Matthew Boyle (66) and Daryl Mitchell (67) paired up in the middle and forged a 100+ runs partnership for the third wicket, with both reaching their fifties and setting the tone for the foundation. The Kings lost wickets in clusters at the tail end of the innings but managed to post 175/7 in 20 overs. Mitchell Santner and Kristian Clarke bagged a couple of wickets each for Brave, while Matthew Fisher, Brett Hampton, and Frederick Walker contributed one wicket. In response to 175 runs, Northern Brave got off to a shaky start and lost wickets at regular intervals from the outset. Joe Carter (17), Ben Pomare (10), and Robert OāDonnell (16) got the start but failed to convert it into a big score. Canterbury Kings bowlers kept exerting the pressure on the batters, which resulted in taking wickets regularly. Jeet Raval chipped in with a cameo of 20 runs off 12 balls, but the Kings' bowlers kept striking back and restricted their opponent to 119/9 in 20 overs.
Skipper Cole McConchie shone with the ball for the Kings, claiming 4 crucial wickets. William O'Rourke bagged a couple of wickets, while Matt Henry, Zakary Foulkes, and Ish Sodhi contributed one wicket to the downfall.
