Time to wrap up this coverage, folks! With this win, Wellington Firebirds keep their hopes alive in the tournament. For now, it's me Deepak Prakash taking your leave on behalf of scorer/analyst Bishal Mandal. CHEERS!
Rachin Ravindra (Game Changer of the Match): "Yeah, I was a bit surprised by the amount of purchase with the new ball. I wouldn’t say I timed it perfectly—it was quite a challenging wicket to get started on. But I think Blundell and Bracewell did a great job finishing it off for us.

I guess you have an idea of how to play against spin, but we showed that it was like two different ends out there—with the wind playing a big role, either downwind or into the wind. So, we just had to be smart about which options to take. I think Adithya bowled really well from that downwind end, making it tough to put pressure on the spinner from there.

It came off the bat well, but the next one I chunked to deep square, so I can’t get too ahead of myself."
Game Changer of the Match: Rachin Ravindra
8:26 AM IST, 3:56 PM Local Time: Michael Bracewell finishes the game in style as the Wellington Firebirds secure a 6-wicket victory, keeping their tournament hopes alive.

Earlier, after opting to bat first, Sean Solia (23) and Simon Keene (20) provided a decent start to the Aces, scoring briskly and adding 37 runs for the opening wicket. Rachin Ravindra trapped Keene in his opening over of the spell and broke the opening stand.

Lachlan Stackpole (22) and Bevon Jacobs (37) kept the scoreboard moving in the middle phase but both set batters departed when it came time to shift gears. Wellington bowlers bowled tight lines at the tail end of the innings, not allowing the batters to score briskly. Auckland Aces lost a couple of wickets in quick succession in the death overs and eventually, were restricted to 150/6 in 20 overs.

Rachin Ravindra bagged a couple of wickets for the Firebirds, while Michael Snedden, Ben Sears, Michael Bracewell, and Peter Younghusband chipped in with one wicket each.

In response to 150 runs, just like the Aces openers, Jesse Tashkoff and Rachin Ravindra added 37 runs for the opening wicket for the Firebirds, with Tashkoff departing for 16 runs.

The scoring rate dropped after the powerplay and in the process of scoring briskly, Ravindra fell just 2 short of his fifty. Nick Kelly failed to impress with the bat, contributing only 12 runs off 16 balls. Muhammad Abbas’ 28 runs put the batting back on track for the Firebirds, while an unbeaten partnership between Tom Blundell (24*) and Michael Bracewell (17*) guided Wellington to a 6-wicket victory with four balls to spare.

Angus Olliver (3/28) shone with the ball for the Aces but lacked support from the other bowlers. Adithya Ashok chipped in with a solitary wicket.

6 In the air...........sails over the fence! Bracewell finishes things off in style! Full-length delivery on the off-stump line. Bracewell bends his back knee a tad and whacks across the line. Gets a good connection and the ball sails over deep mid-wicket for a biggie. Wellington win by 6 wickets and keep their hopes alive in the tournament.
