We spoke of playing some good strong shots, building a partnership and then once we got in, there were just 4 overs to go and decided to have some fun. Glad it came off today. Boys have been working pretty hard behind the scenes. Pretty happy to be on the right side."

12:13 PM IST, 7:43 PM Local Time: The Northern Brave register their 2nd win of the season defeating a strong Auckland side by 5 wickets with 5 balls to spare at Seddon Park.
Auckland won the toss and elected to bat first and deposited 187/5 on the board, Bevon Jacobs top scoring with an unbeaten 90 off 56 balls, Jock McKenzie finishing the innings with 35* off 20 deliveries.
In response, Brave lost Joe Carter in the 2nd over itself with Adithya Ashok removing Ben Pamore right after the powerplay. Katene Clarke joined forces with Robert O'Donnell for the 3rd wicket adding a Super Smash record 138 runs.
Katene moved to 90 and fell in the penultimate over trying to go big against Jock McKenzie who almost turned the match on it's head with 3 wickets in the over. Brett Hampton fell the very next ball and captain Jeet Raval a couple of deliveries later but it was an important boundary from Kristian Clarke that levelled the scores. Robert O'Donnell taking the strike for the final over smashed a maximum and finished unbeaten on 73 off 38 balls to take Brave to a win.
