Jeet Raval (Northern Brave Captain):"Yes very pleasing as it has been a good game for us. Glad to get a victory. Our openers gave us a good start. It became slow when the spinners came in. Joe Carter played his first game for us and he delivered.
We got a good start in the powerplay and the things got slow. But our batters did well to play and we got the victory."
Nick Kelly (Wellington Firebirds Captain) : "I think we fought really well with the bat. It is pretty tough to come back after the start they had in the powerplay. I think Abbas and Tashkoff with the ball did well and Younghusband was great with both the ball and bat."
Joe Carter (Game Changer of the Match):"Felt quite good. I've been playing for a while and it feels good to contribute. Definitely it's a good call to open the innings. It was a slowish wicket but I and Katene remained positive.
It was little bit tricky and it becomes tough to reign if you don't be positive."

Hereβs a review of what happened in the match.
Earlier, Wellington Firebirds won the toss and opted to bat first. They lost both their openers early inside the powerplay. Troy Johnson and Nick Kelly did some re-building for them, before both of them got out cheaply.
They were 62-5 at one stage. But on the back of Nick Greenwood (48 off 30) and Gareth Severin (30 off 23) they got to a respectable total of 160/8.
Kristian Clarke was the pick of the bowlers for his team as he bagged 3 wickets to his name and gave away 32 runs.
Chasing 161, Northern Brave blasted their way to the chase. Katene Clarke and Joe Carter started off in quick fashion and the duo managed to put up 68 runs after the end of the powerplay with the former throwing away his wicket.
Joe Carter batted throughout the innings and played a solid knock of 66 runs from 44 balls before getting out. His knock gave his team an upper hand.
Brett Hampton and Jeet Raval then ensured there are no hiccups in the chase and got their side over the line with 6 wickets remaining and 10 balls to spare.
