Rohan Mustafa (Cape Town Samp Army Captain)- "I think I could have got the player of the match award and I am really pleased with my effort. I did well with both bat and ball. I was playing in the ILT20 and Neil McKenzie's guidance worked well for me. We needed to take advantage of powerplay and we did that. We had the confidence to go for the big shots. The likes of Amir and Irshad did really well. The spinners have responded well and from the bowling effort we took the momentum on our side. "

Salman Irshad (Cape Town Samp Army)- The yorker and slower ones were my strength and I backed them. The planning is simple and it's about keeping the line and lengths correct. The wicket was a bit skiddy and it helped my cause. The condition might get tougher in the next game and I will look to assess the condition and keep it in the right areas.

Earlier, Cape Town Samp Army won the toss and put the NYLS to bat first. Batting first NYLS lost their in form opening batters inside 1.3 overs. NYLS never recovered from there, wickets fell at regular intervals and they were 27-5 at one stage.
Blessing Muzarabani then came in and top scored with a knock of 27 runs off just 15 balls and combined with Joshua Bishop to help NYLS reach to a score of 88 after their quota of 10 overs.
