1:00 AM IST and 9:30 PM Local: What a game it has been!! Bangla Tigers Joburg and Harare Bolts played a nail-biter, but the Sikandar Raza-led team finished in the top two to book a berth to play the Bolts in the Qualifier of the Zim-Afro T10 2024.
This chase of 121 runs was filled with rollercoaster rides and drama. Sikandar Raza led his side from the front, but for that, he forced Mohammad Shehzad to get retire out. Raza's gamble worked as a charm as he smoked a 10-ball 38 to up the ante in a chase, which wasn't going anywhere till then.
Raza got dismantled against Dasun Shanaka, but he did his job by providing the Bangla Tigers with the needed momentum. From there, Tashinga Musekiwa, Hazratullah Zazai, and Charith Asalanka took the job in their own hands by playing crucial cameos at the needed junctures of the innings.
In the end, a couple of wickets in the last couple of overs did shift the momentum towards the Bolts, but it all went in Joburg's way eventually.
