Milestone
That will end our cover of this match from Zim Afro T10 2024. For now, this is Hrutuja Deshmukh, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentators Arjun Bhalla, Ayan Chatterjee and scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. Until next time, cheers and goodbye.
Rohan Mustafa (Cape Town Samp Army Captain): "We played well and bowled well in powerplay. Malan batted well and hope to do well tomorrow as well. Salman bowled well and took responsibility and Qais and they bowled according to the plans and hope they do it tomorrow. Yes, Malan guides Bennett and they are doing well. We will look forward to tomorrow. We will sleep well and come back harder tomorrow. We might have to win two games tomorrow but that's the way it is. Thank You and see you tomorrow."
David Warner (Bulawayo Brave Jaguars Captain): "Thanks Erin. Long flight here and not too much time to prepare. Yes, nice time to get into it and did well. The team did not do well. But I did well and then now a break for me. It is challenging. Different times batting but multiple thinking. T10's great format will be back and love playing in Zimbabwe.

I will be back next year for sure. We have got a lot of potential coming together in a short period and enjoyed ourselves. Back to the drawing board and hope to do well next season."
Dawid Malan (Player of the Match): "It's pretty good and seeing the ball for a change. We bowled really well. Kept it down to 100 odd and a clinical chase. Bit lower and skiddier and the wind blowing the other way. We bowled and batted well today and were happy with the win. Few games we bowled and batted badly. It's a fun format, go out and enjoy yourself and do well."
Player of the Match: Dawid Malan.
Power Hitter of the Match: Dawid Malan.
Catch of the Match: Nicholos Gordon.
Magic Moment of the Match: Qais Ahmad.
Time for Presentations
8:07 PM IST and 4:38 PM Local Time: What a dominating performance from the Cape Town Samp Army! They won by 8 wickets! They breezed through the chase with sheer class, knocking the Bulawayo Brave Jaguars out of the Zim Afro T20 League 2024. Let’s break down this victory!

The Jaguars set a modest target of 103, which was clearly 20-30 runs shy of what was needed on this track. The Samp Army's response was emphatic! The opening duo of Brian Bennett and David Malan laid a solid foundation. Bennett, with a steady 18 off 14, played his role, but it was Malan who stole the show. His blitzkrieg 48* from just 23 balls sent the Jaguars’ bowlers into a frenzy!

Once Bennett departed, in walked Jack Taylor, who finished the job in style with a fiery 28* off 12 balls. The Samp Army sailed to victory, losing just one wicket in the process. Victor Chirwa was the lone shining light for the Jaguars, picking up that single wicket, but it was a tough day on the field for them. The Jaguars are now out of the tournament, and the Samp Army marches on, securing their spot among the top four.

This victory will definitely boost the Samp Army’s confidence as they move closer to the business end of the competition. Stay tuned, as we’ve got two more electrifying matches coming up!
