Faf du Plessis (POTM & Joburg Super Kings Captain): " Yeah, to stay in the competition we needed this win. The challenge for me this season was to put pressure in the powerplay. I was just finding ways in the previous matches to get out. I think tonight I executed my plans well tonight.
My game plan was clear to make sure I don't give my wicket to Mujeeb who bowled really well. I wanted to bat deep. The over which I gave to Wihaan was like a coin flip for me which didn't go as planned. Apart from him, our spinners bowled really well today."
Bjorn Fortuin (Paarl Royals Captain): "Well the biggest plus point I can take out of today's game is that the gametime for the guys that have joined recently. Obviously we have somethings to improve before the playoffs while we will take the positives from this game. We wanted the result but it's part and parcel of the game.
Well you can't blame the batters from going out there and playing their natural game. In conditions like this, 150 was never enough. There was a valiant effort with the ball but we did not execute that.
Nah it is crucial to gain some momentum before heading into the knockouts. We have seen the Sunrisers over the past couple of years do that. We were hoping to do the same but unfortunately it did not happen tonight. We have to work on a few things and hopefully we have a good game at P.E (Port Elizabeth).
It would have been a bit more enjoyable if we had won. I enjoyed my time and it's just a hell of a ride."
