That is the end of a doubleheader Saturday from the SA20 Season 3! MI Cape Town move to the second spot with a dominating win over Durban Super Giants, who stay at the bottom. More action is coming your way on Sunday. Until then, it's me, AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ajay Pal Singh and scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. We will meet again, cheers!
Rashid Khan (MI Cape Town Captain): "It was some kind of win for us. We are reaching the last phase of the tournament. Every win is important for us.

The way we started with the ball and then with the bat was amazing. It was much needed for me, taking some wickets, which I haven't done in this competition. More important was how we bowled in the first six overs. On such wickets, a bowling unit needs to take advantage of the new ball. Anything could have happened. The way everyone responded in the first 10 overs was impressive.

The way they batted from 22/4, taking it to 150, was a brilliant partnership between Kane and Klaasen. But as a team, we thought we could be chasing something around 160-170. The wicket was nice, and the ball was coming on nicely. We had chased against Joburg as well. The mentality was there to chase anything around that score. We were mentally ready for it. It doesn't matter the size of the ground or the situation of the game; we wanted to be positive and do the job.

For the last two years, the way Rickelton has been contributing has been outstanding. You need that kind of start in T20s. It is all about being positive and getting the momentum. Rassie has been supporting him really well. Thank you."
Keshav Maharaj (Durban Super Giants Captain): "Obviously, we are very disappointed. Probably, we lost our way in the powerplay with the bat. Kudos to Klaasen and Kane Williamson for getting a score.

The pitch got better, but we bowled too many loose balls in that exact phase.

It has been that sort of season for us, not only for me as a skipper but also for us as a team. We must put in the processes, come off the high from last year, and finish where we are. Disappointing and frustrating.

From 22/4 to where we reached, the way Klaasen and Kane went through. There are lots of glimpses in the bowling that we can be proud of. Fielding was better today. We need to take all that learning into the next game.

We want to take the positives with us. At the same time, we will see the negatives and work on that. We have two games left in the season; we want to do well and salvage some pride. Who knows? We want to take some confidence going into the next season."
Heinrich Klaasen (POTM): "It has been a long, frustrating campaign. Pity it's too late. I have been there before. I knew what to do. It was just frustrating. It is a bitter pill to swallow as it has come a little too late. But it is part of the game.

I have been hitting the ball nicely. Been doing all the right things. My process has been the same. I was finding ways of getting out. Just part of the game. I still had the confidence that I was hitting the ball well.

Kane Williamson and I chatted about taking the proceedings like an ODI game and taking it from there. We just wanted to make sure the strike rotation is good. He was so calm. The calmness is so good.  He is such a calm head. He was not fussed about how it looked, although it was a dirty way to scratch things around. Sometimes, it is how you need to be. It's an attribute every youngster needs to look up to, finding ways to score runs."

12:05 AM IST and 8:35 PM Local Time: MI Cape Town shatter Durban Super Giants in a one-sided affair, cruising home with 7 wickets and 31 balls in hand and claim a bonus point as well in the process!

Earlier in the game, MICT won the toss and opted to bowl first. They reduced DSG to 22/4 at one stage, with Trent Boult, George Linde and Rashid Khan wreaking havoc with the ball. Rashid even got two wickets in two balls, and it could have been even more disastrous had the experienced duo Kane Williamson (56*) and Heinrich Klaasen (66) not played the way they did, adding a 121-run fifth-wicket partnership with both batters scoring much-needed half-centuries.

Courtesy of that record stand, DSG got to 149/6 in 20 overs, a score that was way below par but at least they had something to bowl at.

Ryan Rickelton set the stage on fire in the run chase, teeing off along with Rassie van der Dussen, who quickly shifted to watch the mauling at the other end. The MICT openers added 75 in no time before Keshav Maharaj broke the dangerous partnership by dismissing RVD for 24.

Rickelton continued his fun, smashing 3 fours and 6 sixes in his superb knock of 41-ball 63 and was undone by a clever change in pace by Junior Dala, who was earlier taken to the cleaners by the left-handed opener. Dewald Brevis (26*) hit a few cracking strokes and also saw Sediqullah Atal failing to impress on debut, getting out while taking on his countryman Noor Ahmad.

Brevis hit three boundaries in a row off Dala in the 13th over and got MICT close to the big win. George Linde (29* off 8) went hammer and tongs straight after the time out, spanking Stoinis to all parts of the venue, smoking four maximums in 5 balls and taking the team home in style.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentation...
