That is the end of our live coverage. The David Miller-led side was clinical in all departments and was just enough to go past an excellent fightback from Joburg Super Kings. Plenty of actions keep coming thick and fast on our network. Do stay with us.
For now, this is me AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Pritam Dey and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav, who brought you all the live-action of this blockbuster. We will meet again. Until then, it's cheers!
David Miller (Paarl Royals Captain): "Yeah very delighted with the win. Eventually got over the line at the end. Yeah it has been great to get 3 wins in front of your home fans and long may it last.
Yeah look, where we were, we had them by the throat but in the last 2 overs, they scored some handy runs and that's part and parcel of the game. It was a touch slower and it was difficult to score runs in the middle phase. I feel the guys did a brilliant job to keep the scoreboard ticking and get us over the line.
(On the Spinners) Yeah very delighted. Guys bowled extremely well. We will look to carry on with this momentum and with a few plans here and there, everything else seems okay for us.
We have got an adaptable squad. We have changed our squad probably every game, based on the conditions so we have managed to reach this level. Last year we had struggled on the road but this season, we want to keep going game by game. We are going to play at Durban and it will be a slow track as well, so we need to keep those things in mind. We have got all our bases covered for now."
Faf du Plessis (Joburg Super Kings Captain): "Frustrated, to be honest. It is a good way to sum it up.
Once you come here and bat first, it always becomes easier to bat under the lights. Totals like 130s, 135s, 140s and 145s don't really give sleepless nights to the chasing team. You really need to push to 170 -180 batting first, and then you are in the game.
We batted poorly in the first 8 overs. We lost too many wickets upfront. When things happen like that, as a batting unit, you tend to hang in there for a while. Once a partnership grows, it gets easier in the middle.
I think we spoke about it after the last game against MI Cape Town. You sit back mentally or down on body language, and this game has a funny way of finding things out. Especially when you are beyond the eight-ball, when you sit back a little bit on the field, the ball does tend to follow you regularly. We will talk about it and sort it out.
For me, fielding is controllable, and the effort you put into the field. It's in your own hands, so we should tidy up every match a little bit in that area. So, it's not good enough from that department tonight, but I hope you'll see improvement in the next game."
Jonny Bairstow (Player of the Match): "Yeah I thought we were competitive. Look we were 15-20 runs short really but it is part and parcel of the game. You learn and then you move on. They took early wickets and put us on the back foot. Fair play to them.
Yes exactly, you were spot on there. I did not think of going there and smashing from ball one. It was a case of staying in the game as long as possible. We got some rewards in the end, those last 3-4 overs for us with the bat.
I think if you are brave enough in the back end, with the wind in one side, we wanted to explode the shorter side but we were 15-20 runs short.
Absolutely, I am absolutely loving my team out here. What an amazing country and excellent bunch of players."
