Rashid Khan (MI Cape Town Captain): "It was one of the best innings I have seen from Rickelton, especially the way they carried it out. Absolutely amazing. It was a good night for us as a team.
It is an amazing atmosphere. It's just the second game here and they have been backing us from the second season of the SA20. It's beautiful to play in front of this amazing crowd. They have been coming in numbers and supporting us.
The beauty of this team is that we have a great composition. We have a lot of senior players and so many with the ball and various batters in our ranks. It makes my job easy. We have a couple of games here and there, rain coming and else, but we are still in a great position.
We have got those bonus points twice. At the end, it matters too much after you loss some close games. Kudos to Rassie van dar Dussesn, Ryan Rickelton and Reeza Hendricks for pushing for that bonus point."
Faf du Plessis (Joburg Super Kings Captain): "Yeah it feels like one of those performances which needs to be put in the dustbin. Lot of things went wrong. Frustrating night for us. We tried to switch on in the match but we were 15-20 runs short. They batted really well to be honest.
Yeah look, I was having a chat with Rashid as well. The wicket looked like playing really well in the first innings only but we did not bowl well. The cutters did not work for us and it was coming nicely onto the bat.
Yeah I suppose the nature of the tournament is that you need to be consistent and have the momentum. You cannot afford to slip and go down in the leaderboard. For us, we have been really good so far in this season. Tonight was our first slip and we want to put it at the bin. We have a game coming up shortly.
That's where we need to look into. If you look at Cricket South Africa at the moment, there are huge amount of fast bowlers who are injured. Around 6-7 bowlers who are down. Injuries unfortunately happen but you need to step up anyhow."
Ryan Rickelton (POTM): "It was awesome to get out there. I was sick last week, and my hamstring was also hurting. I was nervous but pleased to play this innings.
My profile was increased after my double century in Test. (After) Last season I lot of expectations after my performance. Last year, there were none but now people have expect from me. So, I want to contribute and I am glad it worked out for me tonight.
I like to think that I can hit long sixes, but you know you aim low in Cape Town and let it slide into the sky. The support has been awesome despite having two poor seasons, but fans still back us. Thanks for the support."
