That's all from this coverage, folks! MI Cape Town return to the winning ways but unfortunately, they missed out on a golden opportunity to secure bonus points. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. For now, it's me Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of co-commentator Pritam Dey and scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. CHEERS!
Rashid Khan (MI Cape Town Captain): "Yeah brilliant win for us. As I mentioned in the toss, we do not have a good record at home but it was amazing to see a packed crowd and happy to win our first home game of the season.

Yeah I think it is good to have such records but the guys have performed really well be it with the bat as well as with the ball.

Well something which I love the most about these players is the hunger. So many players raise their hands up as they want to deliver for the team. The senior players are ready to take responsibilities and that's something I gives me a lot of pleasure. During pressure moments, the senior players stepped up and got us out of the way.

(On Reeza Hendricks) Yeah I was very happy to see him get some runs. He carried on the innings and batted really well today. After 2 bad games, he played his best today.

Yeah I missed my line and lengths in the first over but focused on getting in right from the 2nd over and it worked out for me."
David Miller (Paarl Royals Captain): "Yeah, very disappointed. Obviously, the way the guys batted at the end was quite encouraging, and the opening pair gave us a good start. However, the way we capitulated in the middle overs wasn't great, and it just wasn’t our night.

Look, it's a quick turnaround, so we'll need to address it and discuss the options we chose. Ultimately, it comes down to execution. If the options are the right ones, then it's all about execution. It’s a brief conversation, really. The guys know what to do. In T20 cricket, as the run rate climbs, you have to take risks at some point. But yeah, it wasn’t our best performance tonight.

That was a par score, and I definitely thought we could have chased it down. Looking back now, considering how close we actually came despite not many batters performing, it’s about hanging in there and ensuring we make the right calls at the right time."
Kagiso Rabada (Player of the Match): "Yeah 100% with the first wicket. Joe Root is a class player but I am claiming that one. Nick down the leg side (laughs)

Well I try to give my 100% and try my best. The first 2 games, it has been good for me and I hope it continues to be the same in game 3.

Well I want to help the youngsters as much as I can. Whenever a youngster comes to bowl, you want to take the previous of his shoulders rather than put more pressure on him. This is something I try as much as possible."
Player of the Match: Kagiso Rabada
Time for the Post-Match Presentation!
12:39 AM IST, 9:09 PM Local Time: A comprehensive victory for MI Cape Town as they drub Paarl Royals by 33 runs to return to the winning ways. Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Kwena Maphaka's valuable contributions at the tail end denied MI Cape Town the bonus points and narrowed the losing margin for the Royals.

Earlier, after opting to bat first, Rassie van der Dussen and Reeza Hendricks laid a solid foundation for MI Cape Town, adding 79 runs for the second wicket. Rassie fell 7 short of his fifty, while Hendricks delivered 59 runs. MI Cape Town lost wickets at regular intervals in the latter half of the innings but Delano Potgieter’s 18-ball 29-run knock propelled them to 172/5 in 20 overs. Dayyaan Galiem shone with the ball for the Royals, claiming three wickets, while the other four bowlers grabbed one wicket each.

In response to 172 runs, Paarl Royals got off to a decent start, with their openers Lhuan-dre Pretorius (26) and Joe Root (26) scoring briskly from the outset. However, KG Rabada turned the game around when he came into the attack in the fourth over, delivering back-to-back wicket-maiden overs that removed both openers and triggered a collapse.

Sam Hain managed to hold his ground for a while but struggled to counterattack the bowlers, eventually departing for 20 runs off 23 balls. Following Rabada, George Linde and Rashid Khan wreaked havoc with the ball, with both spinners sharing 5 wickets between them.

The Paarl Royals' middle order crumbled miserably, with several batters dismissed for single-digit scores. Mujeeb Ur Rahman provided some entertainment with a 21-ball 34 before losing his off-stump to his compatriot Azmatullah Omarzai, reducing the losing margin for his side.

MI Cape Town needed to restrict the Royals to 137 or fewer to secure the bonus point, but Kwena Maphaka's unbeaten 22 helped the Royals reach 139/9 in their allotted 20 overs.

George Linde (3/15) shone with the ball for MICT, claiming three wickets. Kagiso Rabada and Rashid Khan chipped in with a couple of wickets, while Azmatullah Omarzai contributed one wicket to the downfall.

Stay tuned for the presentation.....
