That's all we have from the coverage of this rain-curtailed Match No. 4 of the SA20 2025 between Joburg Super Kings and MI Cape Town.

This is me, Hiren Kumar, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator, Arjun Bhalla, alongside scorer/analyst Raju Khariya, who brought you all action of the event. BYE, CHEERS!!
Faf du Plessis (Player of the Match and JSK Captain): "Yeah, it was a tricky wicket. There was some movement with the new ball. You cannot stand still while batting in these conditions. The DLS is a bit complicated. We were excellent with the ball. I think we did not bowl well in the last 3 overs. Nice to score some runs in the powerplay. Thank you."
Player of the Match: Faf du Plessis
Rashid Khan (MI Cape Town Captain): "Well, the toss was quite important under these conditions, but we didn't have it in our control. Batters bailed us out in the first innings. The conditions here are nice. The ball was coming nice, so the conditions were nice. However, the bowlers weren't able to grip the ball in the second innings due to rain. We have played really well ahead of the tournament and we started nicely against the Sunrisers Eastern Cape. We will be flying to Cape Town now to play our home games. We have had a hard first two seasons, but I am sure this season will be great for us."

Welcome to the post match presentations.
1:20 PM IST and 9:50 PM IST | That's it! The officials have called this game between Joburg Super Kings and MI Cape Town off. The JSK have opened their SA20 2025 campaign with a victory as they win this game by 6 runs on the DLS Method

Earlier in the day, a crucial partnership between George Linde and Delano Potgieter propelled MI Cape Town to 140/6 in their 20-over quota. The 100-run mark seemed quite challenging for MI at one point in the game, but Linde and Potgieter then took charge and staged their side to set a competitive total.

The Super Kings started the game by running havoc under overcast conditions and didn't allow the batters to free their arms. MI Cape Town were 6 down for 75 runs in the 14th over, but Linde and Potgieter played gem knocks to shift the momentum.

The duo scored rapidly in the final stages of the innings, providing the much-needed acceleration. Linde remained unbeaten on 48 runs off 35 balls, while Potgieter finished the innings with a maximum, ending with 44 runs off 22 balls. The valiant partnership helped the Men in Blue touch the 140-run mark.

Then, the JSK came out to bat with positive intent, with Faf du Plessis and Devon Conway trying to take charge against MI's new-ball bowlers. However, Conway's stay was cut short by Trent Boult, while Du Plessis got ripped off by KG Rabada.

With rain keeping players and officials at bay, JSK got a revised score of 136 runs to chase down in 19 overs. Rashid Khan tried all tricks up his sleeves to make a game out of it.

He brought himself in, but he just bowled two overs. With pacers getting help from the conditions, the MI skipper gave an over to the part-timer, Delano Potgieter - but he leaked 15 runs in that over.

In the last few minutes before the rain, KG Rabada got rid of Jonny Bairstow, but the JSK remained ahead of the DLS par score. Thus, they won the game by a close margin of 6 runs on the DLS method.
