That's it from our end as we sum up this clash in the T20 Tri Series between Namibia, USA and UAE. Do join us tomorrow for another enthralling clash in this series.
This is me, Arjun Bhalla, signing off on behalf of my colleagues Saptak Sanyal and Manish Bishnoi!
Asif Khan(Player of the Match):"Thanks to the almighty first! The wicket was tough with some tennis ball bounce. My idea was to take the game deep. My idea of this game was to go hard at the bowlers after I settle in. I knew that I can hit hard if I get few balls in the end."
Player of the Match: Asif Khan
Muhammad Waseem (Winning Captain): "Giving credit to my bowlers. The way they started was special and then the spinners took on from there. Every is contributing to the team's cause. We didn't start well with the bat, but Asif Khan and Rahul Chopra did the job for us in the chase."
Gerhard Erasmus (Losing Captain):"I think we din't post enough runs in this wicket. 110 is never enough to give enough resources to the bowlers. I think today was little bit of a tiring performance after playing back to back games. We didn't have enough rest to play against the good teams. We will get a little bit of rest before coming for the next match on Saturday."
Time for the post-match presentations.
20:18 IST and 16:48 Local Time | That's it! United Arab Emirates have thrashed the hosts Namibian side in this low-scoring thriller by six wickets with 35 balls to spare.
The hosts were restricted to a below-par score of 110/6, where Muhammad Jawadullah and Junaid Siddique emerged as the heroes with the ball. Meanwhile, if not Zane Green (52*) and JJ Smit (28), the Namibian side would have toppled even more earlier.
Chasing a low score, the UAE openers came out all guns blazing as they put 24 runs on the board in no time, but Bernard Scholtz put them on a box seat for a while. He snapped two wickets on two balls, before Jack Brassell took another wicket on the very next ball.
However, Rahul Chopra and Asif Khan pulled the team out of trouble from 24/3 with a fiery 78-run partnership. The aggressor, Asif, fell two runs short of a deserving fifty, but Chopra took them over the line.
