This is it from an enthralling encounter where rain played a miserable factor. England will switch their focus to the ODI format from hereon as the Women's Cricket World Cup nears with the progression of time. Hope you loved the coverage.

Bringing forth the live coverage was the trinity of Akshay Bhide, Deepak Prakash, and Arijit Kundu at the helm of the commentary duties, with Bishal Mandal as the scorer associate. See you all again soon.
England Women Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt receives the trophy and poses for the photographs along with her teammates. A well-deserved victory for the hosts.
Nat Sciver-Brunt (England Women Captain): "We played some brilliant cricket over the course of the series. We probably didn't have a perfect game today, but we set the standard pretty high in the first two matches. Well, I think the way we started building towards that score was really competitive. The wicket felt a bit sticky, and they made it very difficult for us. Heather batting through like that was a perfect innings — it really helped us reach a competitive total. Yeah, she's got a tight hamstring. She'll be assessed in the next few days.

We want to be fielding perfectly every time. I guess in the first two games we fielded brilliantly, and it's always the goal to replicate that performance every time. Achieving a perfect fielding sheet can be tough.

Obviously, we had that moment — four chances in four balls — but, yeah, we can't really put that down to anything specific. We just want to be better than that. But at the end of the day, we got over the line.

Yeah, absolutely. It’ll be great to play some 50-over cricket again. It’s been a while since the Ashes, obviously, so yeah — it’ll be a slightly new-look squad. I’m excited for that team.

Yeah, obviously she (Matthews) poses a lot of headaches. She’s in great form as well, so we’ll have to come up with some specific plans. It might be a little different in ODI cricket, but yeah, she’s a huge wicket — definitely one we’re striving to get."
Hayley Matthews (WI-W Captain & Player of the Match & Player of the Series): "Obviously, good to go out there and get some runs and get some wickets. But we would have loved to get over the line.

I think just have some strong plans. I feel like I have been fortunate enough to play T20 leagues around the world. Thankfully, since I have been here, I have been able to execute my plans.

Claxton came in and bowled beautifully. Good to see her get that wicket. Grimmond also got her second game today and super proud to see them get the opportunity.

Zaida James set the tone twice now by getting those wickets. We executed our plans. Unfortunately, we didn't get across the line with the bat.

Nothing you can do about the rain. You can slow down a little bit. Capsey said something about the English summer. You can do nothing about it.

The ODI series is going to be a hard one for us with this English squad. At the same time, it gives our batters an opportunity to spend some time in the crease."

Time for the post-match/series presentation....
10:36 PM IST and 6:06 PM Local Time: It's a new dawn in the England Women camp as the captain and coach duo of Natalie Sciver-Brunt and Charlotte Edwards kick off their partnership with a 3-0 clean sweep against the West Indies. Chelmsford continues to be the fortress for the Three Lions as this marks their 14th win in 16 WT20Is.

Similar to their opponents, the West Indies lost a wicket on the first ball of the innings, courtesy of Lauren Bell's corker, cleaning up Qiana Joseph. Zaida James followed suit as the field restrictions phase progressed. But it was Hayley Matthews who glued the innings from one end.

With the spinners coming in alongside Linsey Smith, Matthews and Realeanna Grimmond kept the scoreboard ticking with occasional boundaries in the middle. However, the plot to bring in Charlie Dean in the eleventh over worked well for the hosts as three dropped chances were followed by a catch that broke the building partnership.

By the next over, Matthews was batting at 48 with the Windies requiring 73 runs from 48 balls. 22 balls later, the game was paused due to a brief spell of rain, not long before the match resumed with 48 needed off the last 26 balls.

Despite a four and a six to start off the resumption, a couple of wickets fell in the 17th over as Linsey Smith was on a hat-trick. Just when the pressure was exerted, Matthews fell prey to it, holing out to long on in the next over for a fighting 71. A couple of wickets fell in the next two overs as England wrapped up the West Indies with a 17-run win, clinching a whitewash at home.

Winning the toss and electing to bowl first in the dead rubber worked well for West Indies as Zaida James and Hayley Matthews, herself, extracted a couple of wickets inside the powerplay. Following a below-par 24-run powerplay, Heather Knight and Nat Sciver-Brunt stabilised the stage with a measured approach.

The experienced tag team added 48 runs together before Matthews returned to outfox the Mumbai Indians star. While Any Jones tried to accompany Knight, the usage of spin created issues for the English batting. Despite many false strokes, the pair steered the Three Lions to Nelson before Matthews cleaned up Jones for 22.

Irrespective of the setback, Knight moved to a well-tailored fifty before switching gears and propelling England to a respectable 144/5 in the first innings. Although she was hobbling due to a hamstring pull, she remained unbridled for a 47-ball 66.

Watch out for the post-match presentation ceremony.
