That’s a wrap from the iconic Lord’s! A rain-hit affair, but England Women held their nerve and levelled the series 1-1 with a clinical display. This victory also marks just their second win at this venue in ODIs in the last 15 years.

The series is all square — don’t miss the decider on Tuesday! For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide who, along with scorer/analyst Ghanendra Singh Thakur brought all the actions of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. BYE BYE👋
Nat Sciver-Brunt (England Women Captain): "Cricket is a funny game. Try and pass time and get ready when it was ready to play. We had some rugby games in the dressing room.

The bowlers working on a few things and coming out with field placements was good to see. I think we bowled better lengths today.

Everyone was trying to catch them. You can't doubt everyone's effort. It was nice to see them put that effort.

Just negotiate that new-ball period and then get going. It was good to see our openers put their bowlers under pressure. When I came in, I tried to navigate it with Amy but there wasn't much pressure on me.

It's a great place to play cricket and happy to get over the line."
Harmanpreet Kaur (India Women Captain): "I think we didn't bat well today. We could have batted better in this pitch. They bowled better as they didn't give us any chance to execute ourselves. Credit to them as they bowled well. Unfortunately we couldn't show up today with the bat.

Yeah I think the toss was really important today. With overcast conditions, it was not easy to bat in the 1st Innings. But still I think we got to a fighting total. In our bowling, we failed to get early wickets in order to put some pressure on them.

Today was one of the odd days for us. Apart from today's match, we have played some really good cricket. Next match is very important match. We will go out there will positive mindset and will look to play our best cricket."
Sophie Ecclestone (Player of the Match): "I was asleep 10 minutes before the warm-up. It was good to get on the field.

I felt really good today. I love bowling at Lord's because it skids on a bit.

I feel like one that skids on and one that spins and I try to keep the stumps in play. Glad that those worked today."
Player of the Match: Sophie Ecclestone

11:46 PM IST, 7:16 PM Local Time: That’s it. England Women take the three-match series to a decider. They beat India Women by eight wickets on the DLS method at the ‘Home of Cricket’ to level the series. In a rain-curtailed fixture, England Women have displayed a solid all-around performance to outplay the visitors.

The rain-curtailed fixture of 29-overs-per-side began after a delay of 4 hours. England Women opted to bowl first and got off to an ideal start. Emily Arlott cleaned up Pratika Rawal (3) in the second over. Smriti Mandhana and Harleen Deol stitched a 40-run stand for the second wicket before the latter departed on 16.

Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (7), Jemimah Rodrigues (3) and Richa Ghosh (2) were sent packing cheaply as the visitors were reduced to 72/5 in the 16th over. Mandhana kept going strong before departing on 42. Deepti Sharma (30*) played a crucial knock at the back end of the innings to help her side finish on 143/8.

Sophie Ecclestone (3/27) bowled beautifully for England Women and picked up three scalps. Emily Arlott (2/26) and Linsey Smith (2/28) grabbed two each whereas Charlie Dean (1/31) chipped in with a scalp for the hosts.

England Women got off to a solid start while chasing 144. Tammy Beaumont started positively whereas her partner Amy Jones took her time before getting in the groove. Both played some beautiful strokes and kept India Women at bay. Sneh Rana dismissed Beaumont on 34 to break the 54-run opening stand in the 11th over.

Skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt joined Jones and both kept ticking the scoreboard. They were in total control of the proceedings before the rain arrived and halted the play, with England Women well-placed at 102/1 after 18.4 overs. After a short pause, the play began, with the revised target being 115 in 24 overs.

Jones and Sciver-Brunt resumed their knocks for the hosts. Kranti Goud cleaned up Sciver-Brunt on 21 with a peach of a delivery. Sophia Dunkley joined Jones at the crease and both remained unbeaten on nine and 46 respectively to take their side across the line with eight wickets in hand and with three overs to spare.
