That brings an end to the match and the series! What a thrilling finish we’ve witnessed at Edgbaston. England Women held their nerve in the final moments to win the fifth T20I and finish on a high. But the series honours belong to the visitors — India Women, under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur, who clinch the 5-match series 3-2. A closely contested series packed with high-quality cricket and intensity. A perfect build-up towards next year’s T20 World Cup.
For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide & Deepak Prakash who, along with scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer brought all the actions of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. BYE BYE👋
Harmanpreet Kaur lifts the trophy with a big smile as India Women seal the T20I series 3-2! The skipper is now joined by her jubilant teammates for the celebratory photographs.
Harmanpreet Kaur (India Women Captain): "Yeah, it's a great achievement for all of us, and I'm really happy with the way we played today. Even though the match was very close, I think our team put in a great effort in the end. There were moments when we felt they were playing really good cricket, but the way we all fought back was outstanding.
Yeah, I think whenever Smriti and Shafali are batting, we all love watching them—the way they dominate other teams is truly exciting. It's a very positive sign for our team, and we want both of them to keep performing well for us.
Yeah, I think it's all about how you're training. Before coming here, the kind of camps we had gave us a lot of confidence. After this series, we'll have about a month before the main event, and I think we'll go back and give our 100% in those camps, focusing fully on preparation leading into the tournament.
Yeah, I think we always look for a sixth bowling option in the side, and this time we were really happy to have that. Whoever got the opportunity did really well, and I'm really pleased with how our bowling unit performed in this particular series.
Yeah, definitely. ODIs are one of the formats we all love, and hopefully, we’ll carry the same mindset into the ODIs as we did in the T20 series.
Yeah, I mean, wherever we go, we always get support from Indian fans. I'm really happy that even here in England, a lot of Indian fans are coming out and supporting us."
Tammy Beaumont (England Women Captain): "Yeah obviously it has been a quite frustrating series for us but credit to India who have played some unbelievable cricket in this series. They played some challenging cricket especially with the bat and sometimes we didn't have any answers to be honest.
I was really happy with the way our bowling attack bowled today. I think Charlie Dean was outstanding today for us. There has been a lot being said about our fielding and it will get better day by day as everyone is working really hard.
You know how dangerous Danny and Sophia can be at the top. They were magnificent at the top as they gave us a fabulous start tonight.
(On her experience being the captain in these three games) Well, I would want Nat to come back and take up the role so that I can sleep peacefully."
Shree Charani (Player of the Series): "Sir, I really enjoyed it. It feels great to be here and play at every venue. So, I just focused on bowling to my strengths — that’s it."

Charlie Dean (Player of the Match): "Yeah, I mean, when I picked up two early wickets, it was really helpful for my team. But India have batted brilliantly in this series so credit to them as well.
Yeah, I know that matchup against Smriti Mandhana. It's always challenging bowling to her but I enjoy it.
Yeah, it was a top quality performance from the entire team but especially from our spinners, who bowled really well. Really proud with how the game went tonight."
