So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj, my co-commentator, Ajay and our scorer for this match, Yogesh Kumar. Do switch over to the coverage of the Qualifier 2 IPL fixture between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians.
Harry Brook (England Captain): "Yeah, he (Joe Root) is only getting better. Amazing to have him in the side.

Yeah, didn't go our way. We bowled well to create chances, Carsey especially but it just didn't go in the hand well.

I have said to the boys. He (Will Jacks) is a proper batter. He can score 100s, he can hit over covers, he can hit over square leg. He can scoop. To have that depth towards the end. To have a proper batter at 7 is key.

The boys are really well together. They are willing to fight for each other and it shows in the performance as well. Yeah absolutely, nice to win the series, my first one."
Shai Hope (West Indies Captain): "Unfortunately, young Jewel Andrew couldn't get going. Good to see King getting runs and Carty as well. He has always had the ability. It is great to see the consistency coming through. The position we were in during the 30-over mark, certainly should have put on 30-40 more runs.

The bowlers were fantastic. We had to keep getting wickets, it is very difficult to restrict the chasing team in these conditions."
Joe Root (POTM): "Yeah, from being for 2 for 2, it is nice to be out there in the end and finish it off. Winning the series with a game to go. Tricky wicket in periods but made for a great game in the end. Two scores of 300 but bowlers were there in the game.

No, it was an interesting wicket. Two teams getting over 300, it can't be that bad. I thought Alzarri bowled well. He found a way to get the most out of that surface. It was important to manage that as a group. Couple of important partnerships like Will Jacks played exceptionally well. And got us into a position to get it over the line.

I would like to think there is enough there to keep wanting to get better. That is the thing for me, I wanna get better everyday. As long as you have that fire in your belly. You are always adding to the group and to the team. As long as I am scoring, I would like to keep putting myself forward and see where we are down the line.

Yeah, you know. I think the way he has come in and put his stamp on things is really impressive. On a day like this when things are not going your way, it is easy to fall back but credit to him. He played well in that scenario and got us into a nice position after fine powerplay."

11:36 PM IST & 07:06 PM Local Time | So, England track down this chase of 309 with 3 wickets remaining largely due to Joe Root’s masterclass. A competitive game unlike the first ODI but the West Indies will be disappointed at not squaring the series.

England got off to a poor start in their batting effort as the opening duo of Jamie Smith and Ben Duckett departing for ducks with Jayden Seales and Matthew Forde accounting for their wickets. From there on, the England skipper Harry Brook counter-attacked while Joe Root was trying to get his eye in. Just as Brook was nearing his fifty, Alzarri Joseph bounced him out in the 12th over.  A couple of overs later, Alzarri put the West Indies right on top by dismissing Jos Buttler for a duck.

England tried to rebuild once again with Root and Jacob Bethell coming together while the former got to his second fifty of the series. However, Bethell got out to Roston Chase against the run of play after making 17 off 28 balls. The hosts were under pressure but some loose bowling from the West Indian spin duo of Gudakesh Motie and Roston Chase saw Joe Root race to his 18th ODI century. At the other end, Will Jacks also batted sensibly as the pair stitched a 133-run partnership.

With the game almost out of the West Indies' hands, Alzarri came back into the attack to trap Jacks in front when he was just one short of what would have been a fine fifty. Alzarri added one more scalp to end up with figures of 4/31 off his 10 overs. However, the lack of support from Alzarri's team-mates meant Joe Root took England home with three wickets and seven balls to spare.
