South Africa may have been embarrassed by England today, but they ended the series with a 2-1 triumph. The caravan moves to the T20I format, with Cardiff, Manchester, and Nottingham welcoming the Proteas in a three-match series.

This is Arijit Kundu, signing off on behalf of fellow cricketing minds Karthik Raj, AkshayaKrishna Polya, and scorer Yogesh Kumar. Stay tuned to the network for more cricketing content.
Temba Bavuma (South Africa Captain): "(About his calf injury) I guess, I will get to South Africa and know. It is a bit sore at the moment. Quite a poor showing from us. We will have the opportunity with our debrief to see where we went wrong. After the final game in Australia, this is what we wanted to avoid.

Fielding is all about intensity, we dropped some chances. We have been talking a lot about it. With our bowling, we have been clinical until this game. 20 or so wides, that is far from ideal. It could be an intensity thing, complacency, whatever it is we need to discuss and improve.

Chasing 400+, there is no real formula behind that. You expect the guys to take it on. They put us under pressure especially from Jofra Archer. It didn't help that we were one batter short. Lots of positives. Similar to Australia, coming to England away is not an easy thing for a fairly inexperienced team. Certain guys, Matthew Breetzke in the middle and Stubbo have showed promise. We have to make sure that we highlight those."
Harry Brook (England Captain): "Ultimate performance really. I thought we were ultimate with the bat, argh the bowling proves itself. Yeah, the most of the times if we get well, we can get 400. It's a blueprint for us.

He [Jacob Bethall] is good against spin, against left-arm spin especially. They [Joe Root and Jos Buttler] have been doing it for years. Root is doing things for years and Jos can take the opposition apart.

Yeah, Carse was bowling brilliant well. Jofra's, he has been bowling bullets, always great to have him in the team.

A lot has happened in the past. We take it forward, whatever is coming for us. We are not willing to look behind and take things forward from here. Thanks."
Keshav Maharaj (Player of the Series): "Feel like all the hard work is coming to fruition. There is still a lot I can do. Three venues posed three different conditions. I was just trying to use my pace, angles and variations but I could have done better. Kudos to the English batters. When we are at full strength, we have good skills and good pace. Maybe, we can improve in the back-end. Winning a series in England after a long time is a special feeling. Obviously, carry some momentum into the next series. We know if we give half a chance to England, they will take it."
The 'Player of the Series' will be Keshav Maharaj.
Jofra Archer (Player of the Match): "Before with the ball, I think it would have been difficult. We have put 300 on the board, and it would be difficult on any day. Yes, Yes yes, hahaahhh (on saying 300 instead of 400. Natalie Germanos corrects him).

I just do for the team. It doesnt matter what it is. If I am having a bad day, we have to go and do it. It feels good. I didn't think I was going to play this one. In the past, I had a bit of management. But great to gave played and performed. Cheers, thank you very much."
Player of the Match: Jofra Archer (4/18)
Joe Root (PCA Men's ODI Player of the Summer): "It was good. Was just key to get a couple of partnerships on that type of a surface. Used the wind to our advantage. Once you get a 100-plus partnership, it is difficult for the opposition. There was not much help going on, he knew exactly what he was doing. He was clear in what he was doing, he has a lot of options. I have known him since he was eight years old or something. Hopefully, he will go from strength to strength to produce match-winning knocks for England.

More than anything, if you get contempt with where you are at, you will be found out. It is important to keep improving. The more you play, there is more information for the opposition. It is important to use the experience, partnerships are massive in cricket. I will continue to keep working on tiny little things. It has been fun. Today, we saw glimpses of what this team is capable of. The more time we spend together, the more matches we play, hopefully we will start to see similar results."
