So, that is all we have from this encounter. South Africa will eye to replicate such a dominating act on a venue that paid them enormous dividends a couple of months back, but in different colours. Yes, the caravan shifts to Lord's for the second ODI between the two sides. Make sure to tune to this space. Until this enjoy the other coverages.

This is your guy, Arijit Kundu, signing off on behalf of hard-working co-commentators Pritam Dey, Ajay Pal Singh, and Ninaad Dixit. Yogesh Kumar was the scorer of the game. Adios.
Temba Bavuma (South Africa Captain): "Yeah, it's very important to start well. I guess that's something we spoke about as a team. We just wanted to build on the momentum that we got in Australia. Good start to the series.

With the ball, we were clinical. They did put us under pressure in the powerplay but we managed to take wickets. Then in the middle phase, guys came in. Kesh with the ball again showed his class. With the ball don't think you can really faulter much.

With the bat we could have been little bit clinical at the end. It doesn't take away anything from the way we started the innings which was led by Aiden, who really took the attack on the England bowlers.

Yeah, fielding was good. That's also an area of our game that we are trying to improve. We caught well. Tough to defend over here as the ball flies off on this square boundaries. We did a good effort.

Just build on the momentum and keep pushing our standards up. It's a quick turnaround between two games. We play again on Thursday at Lord's which might be different conditions. We kind of have our own standards and we want to just keep getting better."
Harry Brook (England Captain): "Not ideal. Not a great start to the series but it was just one of those days. We just want to move on as quick as possible.

Everybody will hold their hand up and say they had a bad day. Apart from Smith, who batted really nicely. It was just one of those days where we couldn't just get a partnership together.

It held in the pitch a little bit more than usual. Look, I don't want to get into too much details. It was a bad day and we want to move on as quick as possible.

I thought they bowled really nicely and they bowled us out cheaply.

(Brand of cricket which England want to play) Go out there and just bang it. Try and get as much runs as possible. Take wickets as quickly as possible. Take wickets throughout the innings and be aggressive with the bat.

I thought we bowled nicely. Sonny Baker got a bit of tap in the start but the way he kept on chucking it and gave his 100 percent was awesome to see. We almost used it as a practice session at the end as we knew that the game was already dead. So, it was good to see the lads put in their practice out there.

We obviously have to travel down to London. We don't really have much time. We just have to put that performance behind us today and give a crack when we get their to London."
Keshav Maharaj (Player of the Match): "I thought it was a really good wicket. There was a little bit in it and our bowlers utilized it really well.

Yeah, we know that England play extremely well in their own conditions. It was so good to see our guys put their plans to fruition today.

I have looked at some of the bests in the world. I just tried to make minor changes to it and it was nice to see the dividends it's paying off.

I think our ODI squad is in a wonderful space. We are still in a transition phase where we still need to tick a few boxes. It was so good to see people are putting their hand up in every single game."
