Sri Lanka have registered their biggest win in terms of margin against New Zealand in this Test Match.
Now the Lankans have an away tour to South Africa later in the year for a 2 match Test Series while New Zealand, this aren't getting easier for them as they travel to India for a 3 match Test Series which starts from 16th October.
Dhananjaya de Silva collects the winner's trophy on behalf of the team as they seal this series 2-0!
Dhananjaya de Silva (Sri Lanka Captain): "Ah, maybe its the luck, I called well and it went in my favour (laughs) (on winning tosses).
Yeah Chandimal bats really well at Number 3 and similarly Kamindu at 5. They are doing really well for us and everything went well for us in this series. It makes things a bit easier for me as I come in at Number 6.
Nishan has been doing really well in domestic cricket, he has the control and bowled on the right areas.
(On taking good catches) Yes of course we have been practicing really hard on our fielding and it has paid off."
Tim Southee (New Zealand Captain): "Very tough and on the wrong side this week. It's a tough place to come and Sri Lanka are playing some good cricket. In this match we were below par, in the first one we had our moments to push on for a result but as I said it's a tough place to come for opposition.
India is similar but it's not easier, we will regroup and go again. It was fun and there were some positives, maybe the way we played in the second innings, putting pressure on the bowlers and chipping in with some score here. We had fun here and it's a good place to come to."
Prabath Jayasuriya (Player of the Series): "Yeah I know about the records but I am not much concerned about it. I am not a records man.
(On Peiris) Yeah he has been good and enjoyed bowling with him. I spoke to him and he bowled in good line and length so it was good.
Yeah this was a more challenging wicket than the previous game, the wicket was getting softer and we had to bowl wicket to wicket and it worked out for us."

Kamindu Mendis (Player of the Match): "I am enjoying scoring runs and specially because this is my home turf. I think I did well, and credit goes to Kusal and Chandimal as well. Same mindset with some tweaks from the way I batted in England, like while playing spin I did really well.
It's a great pleasure to score 1000 Test runs. We have to improve day by day and I have to improve some more. There are upcoming tours and I am looking forward to perform well there as well."
