That's it from our coverage of the second T20I between New Zealand and Sri Lanka. The hosts were simply too good for the Lankans in the end, winning the match without breaking a sweat. With this win, New Zealand have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match series. We will be back with the 3rd T20I next year, on January 2nd (Thursday).

For now, this is me Ajay Pal Singh signing off on behalf of my colleagues Akshay Bhide and Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Goodbye!!!
Mitchell Santner (New Zealand Captain): "Yeah, it was a great performance. First with the bat, we managed to put them under pressure in the powerplay. As I said, whoever does adjust to the wind will prevail.

(On Jacob Duffy) It's great to see. Every time I bring him back, he delivers. Especially in the first game, he picked up key wickets.

With the breeze like that, you can't be predictable because it will be easy for the batters. Try not to hit the arc of the right-handed batters and make hard for them to hit against the wind.

We have got some good talents coming through. Nice to see this performance from them. Good to get the win in front of the home crowd."
Charith Asalanka (Sri Lanka Captain): "Of course, yes. Really disappointed. The way middle-order, including me, has been batting. Should have done better. It is all about adapting the conditions quickly. It is more bouncy as compared to the wickets back home.

That is really important to finish the game. How we finish is what matters. Really disappointed with the result."
Mitchell Hay (Player of the Match): "Yeah, it was good to contribute. I'm happy with it. I gave myself a couple of balls to get in. After that, I swung hard and just got going with Bracewell and Daryl at the other end. They bring some calmness at the other end.

Unbelievable in the first few games. Awesome to get the win.

There are a lot of eyes on the screens when playing at home. I didn't get enough runs in Sri Lanka but great to play here back at home.

A lot of pride in my keeping. It was great to contribute in both facets of the game."

3:17 PM IST & 10:47 PM Local Time: That's it. New Zealand seal the series with a comprehensive win in the second T20I. They go 2-0 up in the 3-match series. Sri Lanka looked like they were cruising in the run chase till about 15th over but then they lost wickets in clusters and were eventually bowled out for 141 with 5 balls to spare. Jacob Duffy was the wrecker-in-chief with a four-wicket haul.

Earlier in the game, New Zealand were asked to bat first and they posted a formidable total of 186/5 from their 20 overs.

The Kiwis got off to a poor start, losing Rachin Ravindra early in the piece. Mark Chapman and Tim Robinson then added 69 runs for the second wicket.

Chapman top-scored with a knock of 42 while Robinson made 41. A late cameo by Mitchell Hay, who remained unbeaten on 41 off 19 balls took New Zealand to 186.

In reply, Sri Lanka lost Kusal Mendis early in the run chase. Kamindu Mendis again failed with the bat for the visitors.

Pathum Nissanka was good yet again, scoring 37 from 28 balls. Kusal Perera top-scored with a knock of 48, missing his half-century by just 2 runs. Charith Asalanka added 20 with the bat, but then the lower middle order fell like nine pins.

Jacob Duffy picked up 4/15 while Matt Henry and Mitchell Santner got two wickets apiece. Michael Bracewell and Zakary Foulkes bagged one wicket each to bowl out Sri Lanka for 141.
