WOW! A proper nail-biter if there ever was one! Everyone would have definitely had fun watching this and being part of this cracker-jacker! Hobart Hurricanes win five matches in a row batting second and also make it seven wins in the last eight matches to recapture the top spot.

The loss to Brisbane Heat has kept all remaining teams mathematically alive in the competition, with only Melbourne Stars having the chance in their own destiny to finish in the top four

For now, this is me, AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentator Pritam Dey and scorer/analyst Ghanendra Singh Thakur, who brought all the live-action of this enthralling battle. We will meet again. Until then, its cheers!

The winning moment for the Hurricanes 🤩👇
Caleb Jewell (Player of the Match): "Yeah, that was really hard to watch at the end. We know we have some of the best finishers in the world. I luckily left it in good hands.

Um, it was pretty easy batting in the middle with Mitch (Mitchell Owen). I tried to take a few risks early on in my innings, and luckily, it worked out for me.

Yeah, I mean, we have chased in a lot of games this season. We have a brilliant depth in our batting, and I tried to set the platform for them, and they did the job yet again.

(On the Home Final) Yeah, very good. Hobart is an exciting place, and the crowd has been rolling out for us. Hopefully, we can host that.

(On the last ball of the match) I'm very happy for him (Wade). He kept his cool and was really happy to win a game out here.

Yeah, another big game for us against the Stars is coming up. Looking forward."

5:42 PM IST & 10:12 PM Local Time: PHEW! TAKE A MOMENT TO BREATHE! What a game of cricket at The Gabba! It is an all-time BBL classic, as Hobart Hurricanes hold their nerves and get over the line in the last-ball high-scoring thriller!

Put into bat first, Brisbane Heat went berserk from the get-go and powered their way onto a mammoth 201/6 in 20 overs. Usman Khawaja, returning to the BBL and leading the Heat, gave a quick start with a brilliant cameo after Nathan McSweeney saw himself becoming the main scalp of Marcus Bean on his debut.

Marnus Labuschagne batted through the innings and notched up his career-best BBL score, hitting a 44-ball 77 on his return to the tournament, but he was dismissed right at the very end. Brisbane Heat were flying when Labuschagne and Matthew Renshaw were going all guns blazing, but once the latter was removed at the stroke of drinks, the hosts also lost Max Bryant soon.

Tom Alsop struggled early on but found his range soon and made full use of the Power Surge along with Marnus, who just kept scoring. The duo added 85 runs in no time and helped the side to a big score before both were taken care of by Nathan Ellis in the final over.

Ellis was the pick of the bowlers, with a three-fer, while Bean and Mitchell Owen grabbed a scalp each, with Riley Meredith going for 57 in his four overs.

Caleb Jewell and Mitchell Owen provided the perfect start to the run chase, adding 80 in just 6.5 overs and setting The Gabba on fire. They also saw the real fire igniting on the DJ stage, which halted the game for a while. Owen scored 44 off 20 balls and was dismissed with Khawaja taking a screamer at mid off in the bowling of Spencer Johnson.

Mitchell Swepson soon saw Charlie Wakim running past his leg break and got the Heat back in the contest. A much-needed partnership between Jewell and Nikhil Chaudhary kept the Hurricanes in the chase, but the Power Surge saw both set batters depart in successive overs. Before getting out, Jewell hit a match-defining 76 off 49 balls.

Johnson kept nailing the Hurricanes coffin and finished with a three-fer, conceding only 9 runs and also getting the huge scalp of Tim David in the 19th over.

With 11 needing off the last over, Xavier Bartlett bowled a few slower balls, but the fortunes favoured the batting side. Wade took a couple in the first ball and a single in the second before Jake Doran found a streaky boundary. Doran then got two in the fourth ball and a bye in the penultimate ball, leaving Wade one off the last ball. Bartlett, for some reason, went pace on and missed his yorker; Wade made the speedster pay for his error ball and helped it away over the fence, finishing the game in style!

Stay tuned for the presentation...
