James Vince (Player of the Match): "I had a few nineties and glad to get to triple figures. But it was more important to get the win. The first 10 balls of my innings were a bit scratchy but I hung in there and took on as the innings progressed.

Historically, this is a great venue to bat on. They got into a position where they could get 220+ but we pulled back things well. We knew we had a chance to chase it down and the conditions played well."

3:50 PM IST, 9:20 PM Local Time: That’s it. The Sydney Sixers make it four wins in a row. On the back of a scintillating ton from James Vince, they chase down 195 with eight wickets in hand to thump the Melbourne Stars who remain winless in this year’s competition. This is also the highest successful run chase at the SCG in the history of BBL.

Chasing a mammoth 195, the Sixers got off to a decent start. Josh Philippe and James Vince started cutting loose after getting set in the middle. They scored 35 in the powerplay and teed off post it. Both put 83 between them for the first wicket before Philippe holed out in the deep on 42. It was a short stay for skipper Moises Henriques (11). There was no stopping Vince as he got to his fifty in 38 balls.

Vince received great support from Jordan Silk. The pair took the Power Surge in the 14th over and scored 35 in it as they took the game away from the Stars. Vince played some magnificent strokes and brought up his maiden BBL century in just 57 balls. Silk at the other end provided the finishing touches to the chase. Vince and Silk remained unbeaten on 101 and 34 respectively as the Sixers chased down the total with 11 balls to spare with eight wickets in hand. Vince's 58-ball knock comprised 12 fours and four maximums.

Earlier, Ben Duckett got the Stars off to a flying start. He went berserk at the top of the order and hit boundaries for run, which included six in a row off Akeal Hosein in the last over of the powerplay. Thomas Rogers and Sam Harper fell on 12 each but Duckett continued going strong from the other end and brought a quickfire fifty off just 22 balls.

Duckett holed out in the deep after scoring 68 off 29 balls. His departure helped the Sixers pull back things. Glenn Maxwell (32) and Marcus Stoinis (20) failed to convert their starts into big scores. The Sixers picked up regular wickets at the back end of the innings and restricted the Stars to 194/9. Jackson Bird registered figures of 3/35 in his three overs. Todd Murphy and Ben Dwarshius chipped in with two scalps.
