Jess Jonassen (Player of the Match and Brisbane Heat Women Captain): "Thanks to the Power Surge, it helped to free up a little bit and hit a few boundaries to break the back of the chase. It was a great game. I think our plan was to get off to a decent start with the ball, and with Melie opening it was tricky but it came through with changes of pace and bowling the hard length, the bowlers did well. We focused on doing the simple things well and it all came together.

Due to this result, Melbourne Renegades will host and play in the WBBL Finals at the iconic MCG in Melbourne!
Brisbane Heat Women won the toss and elected to bowl first, and after a budding opening partnership, the bowlers came back in the game to restrict Sydney Sixers Women to 140 all-out from their 20 overs!
Jess Jonassen and Lucy Hamilton were the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets each.
Come the chase, Bray dismissed Grace Harris early and there was hope for the Sixers. However, Jemi Rodrigues hit them like a storm and scored an explosive 39 runs in 22 balls to avoid the pressure of the required rate.
