So, that also brings a wrap to our coverage of this game between Melbourne Renegades and Sydney Thunder. For now, this is me, Arjun Bhalla, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator, Saptak Sanyal and scorer/analyst, Bishal Mandal. CHEERS!!
Player of the Match: Sophie Molineux
7:04 AM IST and 12:34 PM Local: The Renegades have humbled the table-toppers, Sydney Thunder, to attain the top spot on the points table as their league stage comes to an end. It was an all-around performance by the Team in Red.

The Thunder were at 84/3 after 10 overs, and then they saw a collapse as they folded for 133, thanks to Georgia Wareham and Sophie Molineux. The spinners shared six wickets between them to humble the Sydney Thunder.

Chasing a modest score down, the openers - Hayley Matthews and Courtney Webb gave a cautious start in the powerplay, but Samantha Bates removed the latter in the sixth over. Webb's departure brought skipper Molineux to the middle.

The skipper and her exciting opener stitched a fine partnership for the second wicket. They were calculative with their batting at first, but they became unstoppable as soon as the Power Surge was taken.

Shabnam Ismail, who returned for her second spell, was taken to the cleaners by the Melbourne skipper. The pacer was hit for four boundaries in her over, before Hannah Darlington was smoked in all corners of the park in her 15-run over. Then Bates was taken down, before the two batters heaved Taneale Peschel.

In the end, Hayley Matthews decided to finish off the game with two maximums. In the process, she has completed her second fifty of the season!
14.2 H Darlington to Matthews
6 Another sixer and that would be it for the Renegades. Similar delivery and a similar reaction by Matthews on that one. She slog sweeps Darlington into the stands to finish off things. With that, Melbourne Renegades go past the table toppers to attain the top spot on the points table. They win it by nine wickets with 34 balls to go!!
50 up for Hayley Kristen Matthews!!! The Caribbean stalwart has brought up her fifty in 36 balls.
