That's all we have for you from this fixture between Brisbane Heat Women and Melbourne Stars Women. A dominating performance by the Jess Jonassen-led side who win by 9 wickets!
The Melbourne Stars are already out of the competition while the Brisbane Heat remain on the third position as off now. Melbourne Stars return back home for their final game of the season, as they will take on the Adelaide Strikers Women at Junction Oval, Melbourne on 23rd November. Brisbane Heat Women will face the Sydney Sixers Women in the final match of the league stages on 24th November.
For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash who, along with scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi brought all the actions of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. CHEERS!
Jess Jonassen (Player of the Match): "Yeah, well we knew that the wicket would be on the slower side, so I just wanted to try and take the pace off the ball and really happy that couple of deliveries did turn away from the batter (laughs).
Lucy has been working really hard in the nets. She loves bowling against the left-handers. Obviously she has that one which is angling across the right hander and I am really happy for her as she has been huge for us in the second half of the season.
(On the NRR) No, we did not have the NRR in our mind. We knew we had the power in our side and wanted to send both Laura and Gracy open together. It's always nice to watch them bat together and really happy with the win.
Yeah, it's always exciting to be part of the Finals day. We are going well and we will be at the Gabba. Big job on Sunday and hopefully we have a great game."

5:36 PM IST & 10:06 PM Local Time| A commanding performance from the Brisbane Heat Women in a rain-affected game as they have defeated Melbourne Stars Women by 9 wickets! A poor display yet again from Annabel Sutherland-led side who remain at the bottom of the table while Brisbane Heat Women are at the 3rd position and have booked their spot in the WBBL Finals!
Earlier in the day, rain played spoilsport for almost 2 hours but the ground staff did a phenomenal job and we had a 7-over game. Brisbane Heat Women opted to bowl first without any hesitation.
A horrid display yet again with the bat from the Melbourne Stars Women who were restricted to a below par total by the Heat Women. The openers for Stars Women utilized the 2-over powerplay as they scored 21 runs without losing any wicket.
Post the powerplay, the Annabel Sutherland-led side only managed to score 25 runs and lost 6 wickets in the remaining 5 overs of the innings. Rhys McKenna (15 off 9) was the top scorer in the innings while Tess Flintoff (14* off 13) remained unbeaten but was falling short of partners.
For the Brisbane Heart, Skipper, Jess Jonassen (3/8) was just sensational from her 2 overs as she was the pick of the bowlers for her side. Lucy Hamilton (2/8) was brilliant as well from her 2 overs as they restricted the Melbourne Stars Women to a total of 46/6 from their 7 overs.
In reply, it was a cakewalk chase for the Heat Women who finished off the game in just 5.2 overs. Laura Harris & Grace Harris opened the batting for the hosts and they enjoyed their time at the middle.
The pair added 34 quickfire runs for the opening wicket in just 17 deliveries, taking the game away from the Melbourne Stars Women. Laura Harris (11 off 8) was the only batter to be dismissed in this innings while Grace Harris (21* off 16) remained unbeaten till the end, taking her side to a comfortable 9-wicket win.
