That brings the curtains on our live coverage of this Women's Big Bash League Game between the Hobart Hurricanes Women and the Sydney Thunder Women. For now, it's Soumarya Dutta signing off on behalf of my co-commentators, Hitesh and Akshay Bhide besides our Scorer/Analyst Chandan Singh. See you soon!
Heather Knight(Player of the Match): " Yeah it feels good to perform well for the team. Little bit disappointed that I was able to bat till the end. We batted pretty well at the start and accelerated towards the end of the innings.
Power Surge went very well for us. Yeah, pretty much we made use of the power surge. Our bowlers bowled really well as they changed the pace of the ball and were on the top."

5:00 PM IST and 10:30 PM Local Time- This has been an incredible bowling effort from the Sydney Thunder Women and they've clinched this rain curtailed game by 33 runs. The Hobart Hurricanes kept losing wickets throughout the innings and could muster up only a meagre 113/8 from their 17 overs. This would mean a lot to the young captain Phoebe Litchfield as she has led her troops to a superb win tonight. The Thunder are back on track with their campaign.
Lizelle Lee and Wyatt-Hodge got the Hurricanes of to a superb start early on in the innings. However Athapaththu came into the attack and got the wicket of Wyatt-Hodge. Carey was ruffled up by a bouncer from Ismail and was cleaned up in the very next ball. The powerplay yielded only 25 runs for the Hurricanes Women and they had a tough ask ahead of them.
Lee and Villani battled away for a while before the former was trapped in front of the stumps by Darlington. The required run rate kept getting higher and higher for the Hurricanes Women and they were forced to take the Power Surge in the 10th over. It yielded only 9 runs. They were 65/3 after 10 overs and the onus was on skipper Villani to take her side over the line.
Villani and Heather Graham build up a good partnership together and they also got a massive over in the form of 19 runs. The pressure was still quite high though and the wickets kept tumbling. Villani was cleaned up by Samantha Bates and Hannah Darlington came back into the attack to pick up the wicket of Heather Graham. With just three overs left in the contest the Hurricanes needed 50 runs to win.
The pick of the bowlers was Hannah Darlington who picked up three key wickets. She got rid of both Lizelle Lee and Heather Graham and it really changed the course of the game. The rest of the bowlers also chipped in with a wicket apiece. Chamari was phenomenal and she gave just 11 runs from her three overs and picked up one wicket. Shabnim Ismail bowled with a lot of pace and also got a wicket.

0 A dot delivery and that's it. Sydney Thunder Women have won this game by 33 runs. They have dominated Hurricanes Women in all three departments and have won this game easily. Coming to the ball, a slower delivery at a good length, Saville looks to defend it on the off-side but misses it.
16.5 S Ismail to L Smith
1 Back of the length delivery on the middle stump line, Smith makes some room and nudges it down towards long-on.
16.4 S Ismail to T Saville
1 Yorker on the leg stump line, Saville digs it out onto the pitch and takes a quick run.
16.3 S Ismail to T Saville
4 FOUR!!!!! Cheeky one by Saville. Fuller length delivery outside the off-stump line, Saville shuffles across gets under the ball and scoops it fine towards the deep fine leg region for four runs.
