Melbourne Renegades Women won the bat flip and elected to bowl first. Georgia Redmayne and Grace Harris Brisbane Heat Women. They were down to 7/1 at the end of first over as Grace was dismissed for just 6 from 2 balls. Redmayne was then joined by Lauren Winfield-Hill in the middle. The duo added 66 runs for the second wicket before Lauren was dismissed for 24 from 19 balls. Redmayne made 44 from 39 balls. Laura Harris played a quick knock of 31 from 16 balls. Nadine de Klerk managed to make 11 from 8 balls. Skipper Jess Jonassen remained unbeaten as she scored 25* from 19 balls to help her team post a total of 169/8 in 20 overs. Grace Parson also remained not out for 11* from 7 balls.
For Melbourne Renegades Women, Hayley Kristen Matthews and Sophie Molineux took two wickets each in the innings. Alice Capsey, Deandra Dottin, Sarah Coyte and Georgia Wareham managed to take one wicket each.
Chasing a target of 170 on the board, Hayley Kristen Matthews and Courtney Webb opened the innings for Melbourne Renegades. The duo added 51 runs for the first wicket before Matthews was dismissed for 35 from 23 balls. They were down to 59/3 in 7.2 overs. Webb who looked set on the crease was dismissed through a run out. She scored 25 from 21 balls. Georgia Wareham managed to add 11 from 14 balls. Towards the end, Naomi Stalenberg showed some courage and scored 38 from 23 balls. Nicole Faltum added 16 from 12 balls. They could manage to score 141/9 in 20 overs.
For Brisbane Heat Women, Grace Parsons was the pick of the bowlers who took 3/22 in 4 overs. Shikha Pandey took 2/27 in 4 overs. Nicola Hancock and Jess Jonassen took one wicket each in the innings.
