The second Test begins on 25th January at the same venue. Until then, keep switching tabs for the actions around the world.

For now, it is me AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator, Pritam Dey, and scorer/analyst, Bishal Mandal, who brought you all the coverage of this third and final day of the series opener. We will meet again. Until then, its cheers!

Shan Masood (Pakistan Captain): "As long as we take 20 wickets and we are able to put on a good performance, I am happy. We will be happy with the pitches if we can do well.

The spinners were clinical, and Abrar, along with Nauman and Sajid, was great. It also helped with us adding Abrar as well. He bowled well along with Sajid and Nauman.

It was very important. We did not know whether, in these conditions, the ball would spin as it is cold, unlike during the England Tests when it was hot. We were quite surprised.

We lost four wickets through some quality seam. But that partnership was crucial. Before the day of the Test, we sat down and said the set batters should stay long. A day before the game, we spoke about how once a batter gets in, they have to go big. And that's what Saud and Rizwan did.

It is hard out there. Batting was hard. We need to add more runs with the last few wickets. In the second innings, we folded cheaply.

There are improvements to be made. If we want to be one of the best sides in the world, there are a lot of things we can improve. When you win, you can go on a happy ride and be happy. But we can't do that but you're never satisfied."
Kraigg Brathwaite (West Indies Captain): "Very different conditions. It was spinning too much. We conceded 50-60 extra runs to Pakistan in the first innings. The batters didn't play as well as they should have.

We can take a lot of positives from how Warrican bowled. He was the slowest through the air on the field. He kept bringing the batters forward, which was important on this wicket. We didn't bowl full enough in the first innings. They negated things off the back foot in the first innings. It was easy to see the spinners off the back foot early in the match, and Pakistan just played too many shots on the back foot.

We also saw how Alick Athanaze batted on this pitch. He swept it on both sides. We have to be brave. We have to believe in ourselves. It is important to be positive on these types of pitches and always look to score. We should still trust our defence. We should show intent, but we should look at Alick. If we can bring it together batting and bowling wise, we can come out on top.

It was spinning from Day 1. Jayden Seales will be a legend, for sure. 300 Test wickets, no doubt. One of the best I have seen a West Indies pacer bowl in the subcontinent. He is a star, as simple as that."
Sajid Khan (POTM): "The pitch has been good for spin bowling. The morale has been good since the new set-up has taken over. Credit to Aqib bhai and the management.

If you look at things closely, the Player of the Match award should go to Shakeel and Rizwan for the way they batted in the first innings and then the way Masood batted in the second innings. I got the award, yeah, happy with it.

The team is playing great brand of cricket and it is important for us to stay together.

The wicket had a lot of turn and bounce. The spin bowling coach spoke to me and in the second innings, I bowled a little slower and did not leak too many runs as I conceded runs later in the spell in the first innings.

Nauman Ali discusses a lot with me as he is very experienced. We didn't want to give runs in the second innings, and that was great. I wanted to bat well. But I went for the inside-out stroke, and it didn't come off. Obviously, the shot was not on this pitch (smiles)."
