Akshay Wadkar (Vidarbha Captain): It was the last day of the season, our hard work paid off so everyone is happy.
We lost the final last year and started our preparation immediately. Each individual worked hard to develop their skill and fitness. 4 out of top 10 batters are from Vidarbha, Harsh Dubey is the leading wicket taker so everyone performed to get us here.
Yash Rathod and Danish Malewar are 2 such players who can take the game anywhere from any situation. Both have scored runs at crucial stages. They have displayed excellent mental toughness.
It was my dream to win the Ranji Trophy for my side. It fulfilled today. We are ticking all the aspects. We will try to improve in the off season. We will work on individual basis to get better."

Harsh Dubey (Player of the Series):"I want to thank the association for giving me the chance to play. We lost the final earlier and now we wanted to win it. This is a big moment as Akshay bhai(Akshay Wakhare) is retiring.
I worked hard in the off-season on my fitness. My plan stays simple. Take one game at a time and play according to the situation and bowl at the right areas.
I am more of a batting all-rounder according to me. I started as an opener. The target is to represent India. But I don't want to over complicate things. I will take some rest and get ready for the next season."
Player of the Tournament: Harsh Dubey
Danish Malewar (Player of the Match): "It was a very good season for me. It was my first and I learnt a lot. Happy to contribute for the team and impactful performance in the final.
I was prepared for this game. I was getting out in the 50s and 60s a lot. I worked to convert those scores to hundreds and luckily I did that in this game.
Karun has a lot of experienced. We keep simple and try to score with a straight bat. If I lack in concentration so he helps me to play cautiously. His experience was quite helpful for me.
Lot of difference between Under-19 and Ranji Trophy. The bowlers here are quite experienced."
