Winning the toss and opting to bat first proved right for the BLV Blasters, their openers put up a quick fire 94 run stand for the first wicket . Harnoor Singh carried his bat throughout the innings and missed on a well deserved century as he got out on 96. He was well supported by Naman Dhir on the other end who scored 59 off 30. They put up 106 runs for the second wicket.
Sanvir Singh brought back Strikers into the game by picking up 3 wickets in the penultimate over. But a late blitz by the veteran, Harpreet Brar powered the BLV Blasters to a daunting score of 224 for the loss of 6 wickets.
Sanvir Singh and Sahil Khan were the pick of the bowlers for Strikers.
Chasing 225, the JK Super Strikers got off to a worst possible start in the powerplay as they ended up with a score of 53 for the loss of 3 wickets. The skipper Sanvir Singh played a lone hand with his innings of 37 runs off 24 balls. But he couldn't get the desired support by the batters from other end. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals and as a result JK Super Strikers lost by a huge margin of 53 runs.
