Well that's the end of the T20 Blast 2024 Season and we have had a new champion this year as Gloucestershire have won their Maiden T20 Blast Title. It was a one sided final to be honest which was dominated by Gloucestershire.

For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide who along with scorer/analyst Raju Khariya brough all the actions of this T20 Blast 2024 Final. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. Tata Bye Bye👋🏼
Jack Taylor is now been handed over the T20 Blast 2024 Trophy and he lifts it along with his teammates as the fireworks go on in the background. Terrific scenes as Gloucestershire win a trophy after 9 long years.
Jack Taylor (Gloucestershire Captain): "What a day. Didn't need to strap on the pads today. Happy to get the win and really special this one.

We have a strong belief in the group. We don't have international stars but we believe in ourselves. To go out there and play like that and come out victorious was incredible.

(On left-arm seamers) They have done it throughout the whole campaign. They are close to 60 wickets I think. We had two complete bowling performances and we did well to back that in the field.

(On Cameron Bancroft) Massive. Bancroft has played with us in all formats this year. He's incredible. We had a tough few years but just the reward for the boys in the change room and the fans.

The fans have done that in the last week in the quarter-finals and we appreciate it. Can't thank enough.

(On club's president) He's a massive part of the club and we are with him. To win for him, it's great. What an amazing day.

(On head coach) He's just given the guys the trust. Keeping it simple and giving them the belief to play with freedom. That's really worked for us."
Lewis Gregory (Somerset Captain): "We didnt get enough runs to be honest (laughs). Well hats off to them really, kept picking up wickets in regular intervals and we are disappointed not to get going really with the ball. We knew it would be tough to defend a low cross.

(On James Rew) Yeah its obviously a shame not to have Banton part of our side but Rew was brilliant for us. Its his first game for us in a pretty difficult situation but I think he will improve going forward.

Yeah this is not the end for us as we have two more trophies coming up on the ranks and will look to bounce back as a unit."
Matt Taylor (Player of the Final): "Pretty speechless to be honest. Over the moon for this group of guys. Unbelievable.

It's my first finals day and I didn't imagine in my head. Pretty special how it panned out.

Payney is always someone I looked forward to. He kept giving me tips on how to succeed.

Just try to be unpredictable. Read the pitch and use the odd slower balls.

Our first run last week was great. It gave us the idea coming into this game. No idea about the celebrations to be honest. We'll see."
