That's it from our coverage of this ODI between India Women and South Africa Women. Harmanpreet Kaur and her team were too good for the Proteas as they clean-swept the 3-match series with a thumping 6-wicket win in the final ODI.
This is me Ajay Pal Singh signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ninaad Dixit, Deepak Prakash and scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the globe.
Harmanpreet Kaur (India Women Captain): "The last 2 camps we had gave us lot of confidence. Many of us have been doing well for the team. The way the bowlers bowled this series, they have been outstanding. Everyone was coming up and giving breakthrough for the team.
All the bowlers, I trust them. Whenever they are in the spell I tell them to stick to their strengths. Today also giving them confidence and field placement accordingly. Plan was to keep the ball on the stumps. You can always create opportunity. Everyone did that and really happy and proud the way they are improving everyday.
We'll definitely enjoy our win tonight. Test and T20s are coming so we have to think about what we have to do next."
Smriti Mandhana (Player of the series):"Unfortunate, I was batting better than the last two matches but I think those shots come off sometimes and you have to back yourself.
The bowlers bowled really well to keep them down to that total. After that it was just about applying ourselves with the bat.
We have a big series coming, the Tests and T20Is. Kapp and Laura had a good series with the bat as well.
We have Asia Cup and then the World Cup. The preparations will keep happening. The coach held a few camps and worked really hard with every player and it paid off.
I don't think I will get an over after today. It is good to have an additional skill to offer to the team. If it comes off, it feels good."
Smriti Mandhana is the player of the series.
Deepti Sharma (Player of the Match): "Enjoyed a lot. What I planned I executed. I used my stock balls, they are my strength. I keep things simple and I am ready for every situation.
It depends on conditions, sometimes you need to contain runs when you don't get wickets. I assess the conditions and then bowl accordingly."
Player of the Match: Deepti Sharma
Gamechanger of the Match: Smriti Mandhana (111 fantasy points)
Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa Women Captain): "Didn't have enough runs on the board. Unfortunate to lose too many wickets in the middle. Looking at how they chased, we needed 300 on the board.
A few dismissals were unlucky for us with a couple of run-outs. We have played well in patches but obviously it is about the consistency. I just like to see a bit more consistency from the team.
Obviously we don't play much of it (Test matches). Will have to see how it plays here in the sub-continent. We have a few days to refresh and get onto the Test plans. I am really excited and looking forward to it."
