Milestone
That marks the end of our coverage from the one-off Test match between South Africa Women and England Women. England Women have outplayed the hosts with their incredible gameplay. They were better in all the departments and eventually the Proteas were 286 runs short of their target. This is England's first victory in women's Test in this decade and it will surely boost them up ahead of the series against Australia Women starting from 12th January, 2025.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my colleagues Arjun Bhalla and Asraj Khan. Good night. Do follow us for the live coverage of all the cricketing actions around the globe.
Heather Knight collects the trophy and calls her teammates for a celebration. They are now posing for a photograph. This win is special for England as it is their first Test win in this decade.
Heather Knight (England Women Captain): "We had a lot of tough draws and a couple of loses but this win pleases us. We worked hard. Credit goes to the groundstaff for the brilliant wicket. The batters performed, bowlers bowled well and the credit goes to them.

[On Ryana MacDonald-Gay] She was impressive.  The 19-year old controlled the line and length well and the way she bowled was incredible. It is not easy to replace somebody like Kate Cross but she has done her job well. [On Lauren Bell] She has the skills to succeed in different conditions. She has a lot of skills and she uses it in different conditions.

It was nice for me to get some time in the middle. The ball was soft so we wanted a few runs on the board. It seems good to get a win and even better to contribute. Looking forward to the Women's Ashes."
Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa Captain): "I am disappointed. We played good cricket for the majority of the Test match, but credit to England for winning this game. We played some bad cricket in the last session and it cost us the game.

Mlaba was wonderful throughout: the way she bounced back on Day 1, and then to take six today was incredible.

I would love to play more of Test cricket. Every time we get the chance to play one, we love it. There's only so much you can do in the nets. We'll learn from this one.

Big year, a busy year. Bit of time off for us now. Good chance to reflect and spend some time at home."
Lauren Bell (Player of the Match): "It's amazing. My first Test win as a team. Worked very hard and got the results. I think it is of a lot of learnings. It was a great fun to be honest.

The win was not easy. The pitch had a lot to say. It helped me a lot. I think I am a work in process. Things are going right and I am doing the right things. I got this trophy but a lot of credit goes to the spinners. Specially Filer(Lauren Filer) and Sophie(Sophie Ecclestone)."
