That’s it from our coverage of this Group B game between the West Indies Women and Bangladesh Women. The Women in Maroon jump to the top of the points table with a thumping 8-wicket win and will know exactly what they need to do in their final game against England to secure a spot in the semifinals.

This is Ajay Pal Singh signing off on behalf of my colleagues AkshayaKrishna Polya and Raju Khariya, who brought you all the live updates from this clash. We’ll meet again soon. Until then, goodnight from all of us.
Hayley Matthews (West Indies Women Captain): "Yeah, I think so. We were pretty much disciplined with the bat. We made them hit where we wanted them to. We wanted to show the intent with the bat. It helps to go into the last match with a healthy net run rate.

(On Karishma Ramharack) She was great. Excellent execution. She bowled according to the field. She has so much experience and made it count tonight. We know she's one of our more experienced bowlers coming into the tournament, so it was good to see her get her rewards.

(On Stafanie Taylor) She has got a knee problem. She's a fighter; she knows how to manage her body. It's a World Cup, and you have to win almost all your matches. She's a crucial player in our line-up. Possibly, but it's a World Cup simultaneously, and you have to win every match you play. And after the way we went with South Africa, we knew we had to be in the park winning every game there. She's a crucial part of our lineup, but once again, she's a fighter, and I don't think any of our doctors or physios would have her out here if she weren't up for the challenge.

Luckily, we've got the last match of the group. We have to win. You have to beat the best teams in the World Cup, and we are up for the challenge.
Nigar Sultana (Bangladesh Women Captain): "Yeah, I think we had a good start. Seeing the last two games, in the middle overs we played a lot of dots and gave them too many wickets that cost us. Their bowlers bowled well and didn't give us room to play our shots.

There are a lot of things we can take learnings from. You have to be positive in such tournaments. Our side is not too experienced in these big tournaments. What we need is focus on our intent, it is our job to be strong as a batting unit in the next game.

Our focus will be to play good game and go back home with a win. Hopefully, we will get a win and this is what we are thinking about. Definitely want to take back something to remember.

It has been amazing, feels like home away from home (on big support from the crowd). It supposed to be in Bangladesh. So many fans are cheering for us and it has been motivating for us."
Karishma Ramharack (POTM): "Of course, its good to contribute to the team's win. Happy with my performance.

It was quite slow early up. I read the conditions and thought of varying the pace a little bit. I am glad that it came off.

We knew that they have a couple of batters who could hit the ball really well, we just had to stay patient and the wickets would come when we stay patient. Once we were patient, wickets would come.

Good to see some of them get back in the runs. The girls are really happy with the win. We have a couple of days off.

As I said, I am happy with my performance. I wasn't as effective as I should have been at the start of the tournament. I wasn't at my best initially, but more than happy to find my form back."
Player of the Match: Karishma Ramharack
10:11 PM IST & 8:41 PM Local Time: The West Indies are back and they making their presence felt in this Women's T20 World Cup. Deandra Dottin finishes the game with a couple of big blows and makes a statement that the 2016 champions are here to fight for the title. The Women in Maroon get over the line with 43 balls to spare. Bangladesh are all but out of reckoning for a place in the semi-final. With this huge win, West Indies Women go to the top of the points table in Group B.

Earlier in the game, the West Indies won the toss and opted to bowl first. They restricted Bangladesh to 103/8 from their 20 overs. Karishma Ramharack was the wrecker-in-chief, finishing with figures of 4/17 from her four overs.

Afy Fletcher picked up a couple of wickets while skipper Hayley Matthews bagged one scalp from her four overs.

In chase of 104, Hayley Matthews and Stefanie Taylor started briskly and took the attack to the bowlers early on in the powerplay. They added 48 runs in the powerplay.

The 52-run opening stand was broken by Marufa Akter as she castled the West Indies skipper with a sharp in-swinger.

Stefanie Taylor was hobbling throughout her stay in the middle and decided to retire hurt after scoring 27 runs off 29 balls.

Wicketkeeper-batter Shemaine Campbelle played a nice cameo, scoring 21 off 16 while World Boss was exceptional with the bat, smashing 19 off just 7 balls.

Dottin cleared the fence twice in the 13th over to get the win for the West Indies. This win has boosted their net run-rate and as the West Indies will be playing the last league stage game from this group, they will know what exactly they need to do in their last game to get to the semis. Stay tuned as we will be back with the post-match presentation.
