That brings an end to our coverage for this game. Keep joining us for more cricketing action all around the globe. It's time for us to take your leave. This is Pritam Dey, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer Raju Khariya. Ta ta. Bye bye.
Heather Knight (England Women Captain):"Really pleased with the performance, I think that was a really controlled win. The way we controlled the middle overs when they were batting and restricting them.
The pitch was slightly better but we thought it would be a tricky chase as chasing at this venue has been tough. I just thought we controlled the Innings with the bat, that partnership between Danny and Nat was outstanding to watch.
Yeah the spinners bowled really well, I love leading this side when there are so many bowlers who are ready to take on responsibility. Overall a great performance, loved the energy from the players.
(On Danielle Nicole Wyatt) Yeah she is not used to scoring at 100 Strike Rate but that is something she needs to adapt at conditions like this. They were really smart and controlled the run chase and batted brilliant.
Yeah we have a break now, some of them will now to go play golf, we don't play till Sunday so its a big break. We will go off to Dubai tomorrow and prepare ourselves once again after a few days."
Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa Women Captain): "Yeah, obviously very disappointed. 10-20 runs more runs could have been interesting. The bowlers did well to take it deep.
I didn't feel it was as slow as in the first two games. When we were batting, we talked about getting to 140. But that period after the powerplay, we lost all the momentum.
Don't think you can ask more from your bowlers. The spinners looked in a good control in the middle overs. But you can't bowl loose balls against the English batters who have got all the shots in the book.
Must-win games for us. Bangladesh will be a real challenge in these conditions."
Sophie Ecclestone (Player of the Match):"It's quite exciting to break the records. I keep it simple. Just enjoy my cricket and keep the smile on my face.
Obviously, happy to get the best in the world. Laura and Kapp are the best in the business and happy to knock them over.
All are world-class players and happy with our performance.
The conditions are really different. We have adapted to it nicely. Nat is a world-class player and she showed her class. Hopefully, we will carry forward the momentum."
Player of the Match: Sophie Ecclestone
10:23 PM IST & 8:53 PM Local Time| That's the end of the game, the match went down to the last over but it was the England Women who held their nerve and got over the line comfortably. A 7 wicket win for England Women against South Africa Women as the Heather Knight-led side will move to the top of the points table in Group B.
Earlier in the day, Laura Wolvaardt won the toss and elected to bat first without any hesitation knowing the records at this venue so far in the tournament. The two Proteas Openers got themselves to a watchful start but they eventually lost their first wicket in the tournament. Tazmin Brits was dismissed for 13 by Linsey Smith.
Post the powerplay, England Women squeezed down things and the boundaries dried up for the South Africa Women. Skipper, Laura Wolvaardt failed to get her timing right post the powerplay. She struggled at the middle and was dismissed at the end of 42 by Sophie Ecclestone.
Couple of handy knocks from Marizanne Kapp (26 off 17) and the quickfire knock from Annerie Dercksen (20* off 11) down the order, helped South Africa Women finish off their Innings on a high. At a tough surface in Sharjah, South Africa Women scored the highest total so far in the tournament at this venue, posting 124/6 from their 20 overs.
16 overs once again was operated by Heather Knight. Sophie Ecclestone (2/15) was the pick of the bowlers for England Women. So the target for England Women was 125 runs from their 20 overs.
In reply, the seamers of South Africa Women were brilliant with the new ball. Both the England Women openers were struggling to get going in the powerplay. Maia Bouchier had a torrid time at the middle as she was dismissed for 8 off 20 balls.
Alice Capsey (19 off 16) played a handy knock at the middle phase. Then it was the match winning partnership between, Wyatt-Hodge and Nat Sciver-Brunt as the pair added 64 runs together and paced the run chase really well.
Wyatt-Hodge (43 off 43) was eventually dismissed in the fag end of the run chase but her partner, Nat Sciver-Brunt (48* off 36) ensured that they get over the line comfortably without any late drama. The Heather Knight-led side have made it two wins out of two in the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 and they move into the top of the tree in Group B.

Cool as an ice, Nat Sciver-Brunt finishes things off in style!
19.2 A Khaka to N Sciver-Brunt
4 FOUR!!! Here comes the winning blow. Nat is as cool as a cucumber as she takes her side across the line with four balls to spare. Khaka bowls it full again a shade outside off, Nat comes down the track, gets underneath this one and plays a wonderful lofted drive over covers for a boundary. No one in the deep to cut it off and England Women beat South Africa Women by seven wickets.
Dot to start. 4 runs are required off 5 balls now.
19.1 A Khaka to N Sciver-Brunt
0 A dot to start the final over. Khaka from over the wicket bowls it full around off, Nat mistimes the drive straight back to the bowler. 4 required from 5 now.
England Women need 4 runs now off 6 balls. It will be Ayabonga Khaka who will bowl the final over of the match! Discussion going on between Tryon, Wolvaardt and Khaka. South Africa Women will look to take this deep.
