Earlier, After being invited to bat first, Middlesex got off to a shaky start as they lost four wickets inside the powerplay. Leus du Plooy, Mark Stoneman, Ryan Higgins, and Joe Cracknell were the four batters to bite the dust.
Jack Davies (53) and Martin Andersson (52) started the rescue mission in the middle and the pair did a commendable job of steadying the ship as they notched up their respective fifties and added 100 runs for the fifth wicket. Josh De Caires's unbeaten cameo of 31 runs at the tail end of the innings has helped Middlesex cross the 180-run mark.
David Payne shone with the ball for Gloucestershire, bagging three wickets. Matt Taylor chipped in with a couple of wickets, while Josh Shaw and Marchant de Lange shared a wicket apiece.
In pursuit of 181 runs, Gloucestershire lost Miles Hammond, Cameron Bancroft, and James Bracey cheaply.
