That brings an end to our coverage of this game. Keep joining us for more cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of AkshayaKrishna Polya, Anirudh Modi and scorer Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Until next time, cheers and good bye.
Alyssa Healy (Australia Women Captain): ā€œYeah it was good. I thought all-around, we were quite good. We didn’t start well but with the depth around, we did well.

It was a decent batting wicket and we knew we had to bowl well."
Heather Knight (England Women Captain): ā€œThey played really nicely. We bowled well upfront to keep them under pressure but they built a solid partnership. A couple of chances went down and it was frustrating.

We did well in the chase but lost wickets and the required run rate went up. We will learn from it and onto the next one.

We went to the options really well. Tammy was good at the top of the order. I feel the wickets cost us. You want big partnerships in these chases and we couldn’t get them."
Ashleigh Gardner (Player of the Match): "I have been searching for it (century) for so long. There was certainly some emotions when I got to that mark. I got back to the changing room and let it sink in. It was a great win for us. King also took a fifer in the end and it was a all-around performance from everyone.

I haven’t scored too much centuries throughout my career. With Mooney, it was an important partnership. T-Mac (McGrath) is also back and she will take a lot of confidence from it. It was a really emotional moment for me when I got to the hundred.

(On that catch) I actually misjudged it. That’s why I took it one-handed. The boundary was close to me. We don’t practice it too much but really happy to pull that off."

11:20 AM IST, 4:50 PM Local Time: That’s it. Australia Women emerge victorious here in Hobart and clean-sweep the ODI series. They beat the England Women by 86 runs to take their points tally to six in this multi-format Ashes series. It was a solid all-around performance from the Southern Stars and the English side has been outplayed today.

Chasing a mammoth 309, England Women lost Maia Bouchier on a silver duck in the very first over. Megan Schutt picked up her second by dismissing English skipper Heather Knight on 14. Tammy Beaumont along with Nat Sciver-Brunt resurrected the innings. Beaumont brought up a well-compiled fifty before getting cleaned up on 54 as the 89-run stand was broken by Georgia Wareham.

Sciver-Brunt kept ticking the scoreboard at the other end and brought up her fifty off 53 balls. She was looking settled for a big score before she got knocked over on 61 in the 31st over. A screamer from Phoebe Litchfield ended Danielle Wyatt-Hodge’s (35) stay at the crease. Alice Capsey (0) and Amy Jones (30) fell in quick succession as the required run rate crept up.

The Australian bowlers were brilliant and wrapped up the English tail quickly. The England Women got knocked over on 222 to lose the game by 86 runs. Alana King was the standout bowler for the hosts as she picked up a fifer, conceding 46 runs in her 8.2 overs. Megan Schutt and Georgia Wareham grabbed three and two scalps respectively as they completed a dominant performance with the ball in hand.

Earlier in the day, Australia Women lost skipper Alyssa Healy (15), Phoebe Litchfield (15) and Ellyse Perry (2) in the first powerplay after opting to bat first. Annabel Sutherland (10) also fell cheaply as they were reeling at 59/4 in the 15th over. Beth Mooney and Ashleigh Gardner led the recovery work and stitched a brilliant 95-run stand. Mooney fell right after getting to her fifty in the 33rd over.

Gardner continued her good work at the other end and received great support from Tahlia McGrath. Gardner brought up a fantastic hundred off 100 balls. McGrath at the other end notched up a well-composed fifty. The 103-run stand between Gardner (102) and McGrath (55) laid a foundation for a strong finish.

Georgia Wareham played a sensational cameo at the back end of the innings. She hit five fours and two maximums to remain unbeaten on 38 off 12 to power her side to 308/8. Lauren Bell, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Charlie Dean picked up two scalps each for the visitors but they failed to keep a check on the scoring rate throughout the innings.
