Shijit Chandran (Salem Spartans Captain): "We lacked confidence at times and that's why we failed to execute. I think the target was okay, yes it was 20 runs above par but our bowlers did well. We could have done better.
Yes our batting order is not working well in recent times. Sometime we are playing dot balls and sometimes we are ending up conceding wickets. We need to reduce it. We have got a good bench strength, Guru Sayee is an example of it."
10:40 PM IST and Local Time: A solid performance from iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans as they have thrashed the Salem Spartans by 51 runs to stay alive in the competition. They have outplayed their opponents in all facets of the game. With this loss, the Spartans are out of the playoffs race.

Earlier in the game, the Tamizhans won the toss and elected to bat first. The openers Amit Sathvik and Tushar Raheja got off to a racing start as they came out all guns blazing. Sathvik got out after scoring 50 off 39 balls while Tushar Raheja top scored with 79 off 49 balls. The duo put on 110 for the first wicket and laid the platform for the others to follow. B Anirudh scored 17 off 10 balls while skipper Sai Kishore scored 12 off 9 balls. The innings faded away towards the end as they lost 7/25 to finish with 192/9 in 20 overs. 12 extras given by the fielding side.

A couple of wickets for N Selva Kumaran while Rajendran Vivek picked up the other wicket to fall. The bowlers came back well, but their batters let them down in the end.
So, a win by 51 runs for Tamizhans as they keep their playoffs hopes alive. The Spartans are out of the reckoning now. Stay tuned for the presentations.
