That's it from Group A and from our coverage as well. India lock their place in the semifinals winning all 3 games in the group. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and scorer/analyst Bishal Mandal. Stay tuned for more action from around the world.
Smriti Mandhana (India Women Captain): "Yeah, definitely. As an opener, it’s rare not to get a chance to bat, so I'm really happy with how things went. Shafali batted brilliantly, and Hema also got some runs. We finished well as a team.

I think it was much-needed game time for all the batters, especially since the middle order hasn’t had many opportunities to bat in the last two T20 series. So, I was really happy with how it turned out, and we finished off well too.

Not just in this tournament, but in every series we've played over the last 5-6 months, we've been preparing and fine-tuning with the World Cup in mind. You can't enter the World Cup unprepared. It was great to see Nepal play with a smile, and I hope they continue to improve and that we get to play them more often. No team should be taken lightly. We have a couple of days before the semifinal, and for us, nothing changes. We'll rest a bit and then start preparing for it."
Shafali Verma (Player of the Match): "I relied on my strengths, and it worked out well today, so I'm really happy. I'm becoming more consistent and working on finishing strong. I saw the fielder and aimed to hit the ball along the ground. (On scoring a double ton against South Africa) Scoring 200 runs is significant for a batter, and since I wasn't in great form before, this innings really boosted my confidence."
Player of the Match: Shafali Verma
Indu Barma (Nepal Women Captain): "I am proud of the team. We have realized our weakness and we will come back more stronger. We respect our opponents. We got great exposure playing against India.

I am happy with my team. After the 10th over our bowlers got good momentum. I got lots of experience even my teammates got bunch of experience playing with India, Pakistan. We will play and practice more with this."
Time for the post-match presentation...
9:59 PM: The Indian women's side stamped their authority over Nepal and made way to the semifinals of the Asia Cup winning all their 3 games of Group A with a 82-run win in their last league fixture.

Stand-in skipper Smriti Mandhana won the toss and elected to bat first as regular skipper Harmanpreet Kaur was rested. The new opening pair of Shafali Verma (81) and Dayalan Hemalatha (47) added 122 in 14 overs to set up the Indian innings. Jemimah Rodrigues (28* off 15) provided the finishing touches as the women in blue scored 178/3 at the end of 20.

Arundhati Reddy struck in the second over dismissing Samjhana Khadka with an inswinger. Her new ball partner Renuka Singh Thakur struck in the 5th over to dismiss Kabita Kunwar for 6 with Nepal scoring 31 runs in the powerplay.

Skipper Indu Barma (14 off 18) hung around with opener Sita Rana Magar (18 off 22) as the duo added 22 runs for the third wicket, the highest partnership of the innings. Magar was also the top scorer in the 2nd innings.

Radha Yadav broke the stand in her first over and later dismissed Dolly Bhatta as well to finish with 2/12. Deepti Sharma was the pick of the lot with 3/13. Arundhati Reddy shattering the stumps twice to end with 2/28 with Renuka bowling an economic spell of 1/15 in 4 overs.

Finishing on top in Group A, Team India will face the number 2 side from Group B in the first semifinal at Dambulla on Friday.

19.3 D Sharma to S Rai
0 Good length on the pads. Rai looks to push forward in the leg side stepping outside the crease. Ball pops off the thigh pad on her elbow and lands in the leg side. Richa is quick to dive at it and takes the bails off. Rai rushes herself to put her back inside. TV umpire is referred to again. A lot of time taken again, NOT OUT as Rai's bat was grounded and inside the crease.
